I stayed at your extremely lovely hotel on last week however the outward appearance did not reflect the level of service I am accustomed to. Rooms were extremely nice however a little more attention to cleanliness would have been appreciated. I left a dirty towel behind the commode that was there when I got there and it was still there when I left despite my request that it be removed. (unacceptable) Why should it take 45 minutes to get a pot of coffee from room service. I normally will stay with Westin branded hotels but have recently been staying at Marriott properties after my recent stay with this hotel all I can say is I love the location and it is extremely beautiful however if I want to be pampered and feel like my business is appreciated I will return to Westin in Times Square.

It is a very beautiful and luxurious hotel .The rooms are very clean .
The people were friendly when we needed to ask for help or directions .Would definitely return anytime .We did not get to try out the extras offered ; pool, spa or gym .It is next to the world trade center's new site .There are a few places to go and eat.We went to O'Hara's for lunch. It is a decent Irish spot near the hotel. Also i recommend the BLT bar and grill.

Booked this hotel because of it's location in lower Manhattan When we stayed the hotel was still recovering from the storm damage, so all the facilties were not available. We were upgraded to a Libety Island view room on the 17th level. The room was well appointed and the staff were helpfull under difficult circumstances. Great position and close to a lot of attractions and restaurants. We would go back if we were in NYC

Room Tip: Get an upper level room to enjoy the views of New York harbour

I attended a business conference in NYC and was fortunate to be able to stay at the Marriott Downtown. The hotel is located right next to the 911 memorial, a short walk to the Jewish Heritage Musuem (where the conference was held), near the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island and close enough to excellent restaurants. It is right smack in the middle of the financial district for those on business.
The hotel did not have a restaurant but they had many selections of nearby places. I ate at a local breakfast place "Georges Restaurant" it was great to sit by the window and watch NY.
The staff from the front desk, bell caps, doorman to housekeeping were pleasant and extremely helpful. I would definetly stay again.

Room Tip: higher floors may have view of the river. you need to ask and it helps if you are a loyalty member.

I had the opportunity to stay at this Marriott location for a few nights. I am a repeat customer to this particular location and I have never been disappointed. The staff is always helpful to accommodate your requests and the location for me is ideal. The concierge lounge is for those members has some good treats and offers a nice little breakfast as well as a lite dinner. The rooms are a good size and are always clean. There are some good restaurants within walking distance. This is a keeper.

I am a frequent visitor to NYC for both business and social and find the Downtown Marriott to be exceptional. For business it is close to many financial and other firms located in downtown NY. For social it is close to many exceptional attractions not always frequented by those whose accommodations are in the mid-town area. From the Staten Island Ferry to the Statute of Liberty to the new buildings at Ground Zero, to the many art galleries and special clothing and retail stores -- and of course to the many exceptional eating establishments -- there is much to do to keep families and singles and couples busy and having fun. Hotel accommodations are clean and comfortable and price is reasonable and suitable for most all budgets. With a new restaurant planned for later in 2013, the facility will be complete. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors have a better view of the downtown area ... and there is a Concierge leve...

TheDowntown Marriott in NYC is an ideal location from the 9/11 Memorial & Ground Zero; it is a 3 minute walk, around the corner from the entrance to the World Trade Center site. Looking out of our room 2302 you could see Tower 1 rising above the skyline. I t was an impressive site to be that close to see both that tower & Tower 7 from this corner room. There were several very nice pubs around the corner from this location that offered many dining choices. As always the room was outstanding, it was clean & offered every conveneience for travelling, excpet on site meals. The hotel is located in the financial district & is only 5 minutes from the Irish Famine Memorial & about a 5-7 minute cab ride to one of the ferries to see the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island.

Room Tip: Stay in a Lower Number Even Numbered Room to see the World Trade Center Towers; example 202, 204, 15...
