“Great location and spacious apartment”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

The Hotel has a great location for the Upper East Side lovers, near all the stores on 57th street and two blocks from Bloomingdales. There's a Food Emporium just around the corner, which is great.
I stayed in a one bedroom suite on the ground floor and it was huge. Big bedroom, huge living room with a private patio (great for spring and summer). The bathroom was good too. The kitchen is a little old but works fine.
The apartment was very clean, with good linens. Good on demand film selection.
Didn't like the fact that they charge you $14 per day for internet in each device you use it but complained at the front desk and they took it out of my bill.
Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms have a private patio.

The hotel is very attractive and located in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. My room was recently refurbished with beautiful linens, flat screen TV and luxurious bathroom. The bath was sparking clean and well designed with ample space for cosmetics and great lighting. The bed was very high quality with deep and comfortable mattress and pillows. The staff was exceptional in being of service. Reddy at the front desk was very accommodating as were the bell staff. Krys took care of our bags and found a cab instantly upon departure. The bellman on Saturday recommended a nearby restaurant for lunch, The Silver Star which was perfect. This hotel is a little beyond the center of the action in NYC being on East 64th Street but well worth the few minutes extra to get to the MTA or buses. We agreed that this hotel was on our list for future visits to NYC.

Room Tip: Some roooms overlook a lovely garden......thus the name.

We stay at Affinia Gardens on E 64th St each year for our annual outing to the Opera, this being our 3rd year. In general, great location, quiet street, huge rooms, exceptional service, fairly priced. Our most recent stay warranted a congratulatory email to the staff and management. This place is truly first-class and I highly recommend staying. Each visit, we are delighted at the extent to which the staff will go to make our stay that much more enjoyable. Kudos to Ms L and Mr H!

We were pleasantly surprised at the location, staff, and amenities of this hotel. In a mostly residential area this property was a welcome surprise. The rooms were updated and in excellent condition. The staff was exceptional and were most helpful with a few public transportation travel needs we required. We would stay here again without a doubt.

Its just about 3 blocks from the 63 and Lex MTA station (or 59 and Lex), and within one block of tons of great eateries (Silver Star, Jojo's, Alice's Tea Cup, Tonys di Napoli etc). Room size was great - much bigger than your average Manhattan hotel. Everything was kept super clean by their friendly staff, which included friendly and helpful doormen and concierge service. Just a really enjoyable stay overall in a great neighborhood with outgoing staff.

We're just back from a mini-vacation in NYC. This hotel is very well-located, the accomodations are great (spacious for NY) and the hotel staff is wonderful--call outs to Krys and Sal!! We were a party of four and the one-bedroom suite was more than comfortable. It was especially nice to have a full kitchen, so we could have a nice breakfast to start the day. I've stayed here before, and have stayed at other hotels in Midtown/Upper East Side. From now on, it's down to only one choice--Affinia Gardens.

Affinia Gardens offers real value for your hard-earned buck. My teenage son and I stayed for three days in a spacious Junior Suite and couldn't have been more comfortable. The two queen size beds were very comfy, a treat to sink into after long days of walking Manhattan. The fully functional kitchen let us save money by eating some meals in, a real boon since we were seeing New York on a budget. Location was good too, with grocery stores, a pharmacy, shops, the subway, etc., close by. Everything was spotlessly clean and in good working order. A few more kitchen utensils would have been nice and, as we our room was located right on 64th Street, there was definitely some noise (nothing the earplugs the hotel provides couldn't muffle quite handily, though) but all in all, Affinia Gardens provided us with a really good home base for our New York stay.
