Le Parker Meridien New York

Great reception area with Damien Hurst art and other cool features. Large rooms well above the worst of the city noise. While the rooms are large and the bed is good, the rooms seem half finished. Tiny bath, non-refurbished closets and almost no furniture. Service is so-so. Trendy bar downstairs, but no breakfast and no restaurant, except for a hole-in-the-wall hamburger joint which apparantly serves great burgers. The line was heavy, so we never got to try it out. Averall good, but much too expensive hotel.

Dear Lars33,

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm sorry to read that your room wasn't up to your expectations. Besides the burger joint, we actually have an excellent breakfast & brunch restaurant called NORMA'S, which is rated as the city's best brunch restaurant by Zagat. We hope you'll give us another chance to prove ourselves to you! Please feel free to drop me a line prior to your next stay and I'll see that you have a more typical LPM experience.

Have a Good One!

Great location, good amenities, and a regularly accommodating staff make this a very good choice for the money. The famous burgers at The Burger Joint seem to have fallen off their high standard a bit, but still worth a try.

We decided to spend a night in NYC for my friend's birthday and see a show and the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. We had a huge room for NYC standards with a very comfortable king size bed. Check in was quick and we actually asked for a late check out which they were happy to accommodate. The location was perfect- with a short walk to the tree and to the Broadway show and Times Square area. We had breakfast Sunday morning at Norma's which was amazing! (Be sure to make reservations.) We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed for two nights and had a pleasant stay. Great room with amazing views across Central Park. Shopping on 5th ave 5 mins walk and also Times Square. Subway round the corner. Try the burger joint its reasonable but you will have to queue!! Overall had a great stay and I would recommend.

Great property, staff, services, location and everything you need for the perfect NYC visit. My hotel of preference when visiting New York. It's a great place to go to at the end of the day after an exciting day in the city. The rooms are stylish, beds are comfortable and if you're a fan of good water pressure like I am, you surely won't be dissapointed. Starbucks across the street is also a nice plus! The staff is always helpful. Great hotel.

Room with a view out to central park, where we enjoyed a carriage ride. Very close to everything. Be sure to get the hot chocolate in the hotel bar after a short walk from Rockefeller center & seeing the Rockettes @ radio city music hall.....it's spectacular! Be sure to go up to the pool...even if you don't swim the view is fantastic. Enjoyed lunch @ the Original soup man (from Seinfield show). It's just around the corner. Shopping location fantastic. Breakfast @ Norma huge, we split it and it was plenty good.

My husband and I spent a special anniversary at the Parker Meridien, and it simply could not have been nicer. The location is perfect-- close to midtown, but away from the crush. FAO Schwartz, Columbus Circle, Carnegie Hall and the MOMA are all an easy walk away. There's a Starbucks across the street. The Meridien has an elegant, comfy bar with gorgeous ceiling. It has a hamburger joint people line up to get into. The rooms are quite large for NYC, with luxe toiletries, neutral colors and excellent lighting. Yes, the decor could use a touch more color and finesse. The staff is incredibly efficient and sweet. Angela learned we were on a second honeymoon and when she could not get us a park view, she sent up strawberries dipped in chocolate with a lovely card. The Meridien feels old-fashioned, not old, it is mere steps from some of the sweetest parts of Central Park. Even the valet parking is reasonable, for NY. No complaints, pure compliments. We'll be back!

Room Tip: I can't imagine a bad room here!
