We have stayed at three different hotels and locations in New York and this is by far the best.
The rooms are beautiful, the beds are to die for and the decor divine.
Of course if yourve got the money to spend there would be endless options of fantastic places to stay in New York but if your looking for something reasonably priced that seems to give you better value than youd expect for your dollar, stay here.
We travelled with children and had a quad room which was great. The only thing they dont seem to offer is a suite which would be great for families.
Breakfast in the morning is adaquete, saves you having to buy another meal out.
The location is the best, right in the hub of all the action.
Stay here you wont be disappointed.

Me, my fiance and 2 friends stayed here over the long weekend. We got a great AAA rate for four people and the location can't be beat! The room was a nice size and the bed was SUPER comfortable. They let us store our luggage for a few hours on Monday after check out but before we had to leave for the airport - very smooth check in and check out!

Only complaints would be - breakfast line was SOOOOO long! Forget trying to eat breakfast in the hotel if it looks close to full. On the other hand, we ended up across the street at Cosmic Diner which was really great. We also ate at Ray's pizza across the street - both good options. Second, we got a room facing into a parking lot (#207) - kind of wish we would have been higher and been facing the street. But, we were in New York and didn't spend much time in our room anyways.

Would absolutely stay here again - no doubt about it!

Stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon and it was perfect for us. Short stroll to Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, shopping and subway. Found the area to be safe. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Room was lovely, newly renovated. Huge bed that was very comfy. Our room was alot bigger then many other hotel rooms that we had considered. Great view of the New York streets from our window. Couldn't of been happier with this Hotel!

So this is suppose to be Hilton's lower end hotel, but we LOVED it! The rooms were spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel has recently gone a 20 million dollar renovation, and it shows. I will be staying here again, especially for the great prices!

One of the few midtown hotels to have DOUBLE QUEEN rooms, a must for our party of 3 adults for 6-nights. Room huge for NYC, nicely furnished and stocked, not luxurious. In business district on the outskirts of theatre district, hotel is former HJ, recently refurbished, so was clean and fresh. Elevators slow and occasionally out-of- service - had to use stairs once - fortunately down. Convenient location is easy walking distance (we are 50s and not great shape) to Columbus Circle, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Radio City, MOMA, Carnegie Hall and Deli, GreyLine Bus Tours, Theatre District, and subway stations for red, blue and orange lines. No restaurant in hotel, but numerous nearby, including 24-hr diner across street, which proved convenient for our midnight arrival. Included breakfast has a larger selection than most, but often crowded, thus slow. Complimentary hot beverages all day/night. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient and graciously accomodated our request for late check-out. Overall, a great value ($227/night incl tax @ Christmas). Would definately recommend and would stay again.

We are just back from New York and we stayed at the Hampton Inn Times Square North. What a fantastic hotel, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, apples and cookies are available 24/7 you just help yourself. It is also very clean and the beds are so comfortable, we were on the 10th floor and we could not have asked for better accomodation. Complementary breakfast was good too, not too keen on the hot dishes , but plenty of fruit, juice, toast ,bagels and muffins so there is something for everyone. The hotel is close to everything, as you come out of the hotel door turn left and walk straight up the street and you are at Columbus Circle at the beginning of Central Park, the park itself is beautiful, with lots to see it is worth taking a bike trip with one of the guides, we would recommend Kenny from the Gambia, he told us everything about the park and it was really interesting, once you have been on the bike ride you know exactly where to go and spend time at your favourite parts of the park. Also turn right from the hotel door and walk one block, cross to the left carry on down the street and you are in the middle of Times Square and Theatre Land so close to everything. If you are looking for good food and friendly staff I strongly recommend the Harmony View bar & grill which is situated between Broadway and 8th Avenue. This was our first trip to New York and it was fantastic, the weather was lovely too. Gail and Robert Irvine 1st May 2007

Just back from a three night stay with our two teens. Outside of building is non-descript, and 8th Avenue is a little mixed, but the inside of this hotel is really nice -- very clean, just renovated. And we're picky! We found our room clean, well equipped, and quite quiet given the location. We shared one room as a family of 4 in a room with 2 queen beds. A little squishy, but roomier than Sheraton Towers where we stayed last year. Convenient to theater and Times Square. Breakfast was included -- the hot stuff was icky, but cereal, bagels, toast, etc. was just fine. My only criticism was that the coffee was really weak, and that they use very environmentally unfriendly seeming styrofoam plates and cups to avoid dishwashing, etc. All in all, a great spot -- I hope they start to use recycled paper dishes at some point?!
