My daughter and I just spent 3 nights at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and with a great view. 2 computers in the lobby for guests to use, free of charge. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful, great variety of choices, including fresh fruit. The staff were all wonderful, helpful, smiling, gracious. On our last day, we requested late check out as our shuttle was coming just after 2pm. They offered check out at 2pm. I have never stayed at a more accommodating hotel. Not only did they extend our stay, but the room was cleaned while we were out in the morning - on our discharge day. We were able to come back to a clean room to eat lunch and get ready for our departure. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to New York. We stayed at a larger, more expensive hotel on our last visit. The Hampton surpassed that hotel by far. A great place with employees who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

This is my second time at the Hampton Inn in Manhattan. I returned because it is a good price for its location, and the free internet and breakfast save additional money for my budget-conscious company.

This time I noticed a concerted effort to improve service. Staff were very courteous and went out of their way to help.

The breakfast is not the greatest, but it is free. There is always a hot item (example: sausage and waffles), as well as cold cereals, yogurt, and pastries.

My room was a bit noisy because some door nearby kept slamming, and Manhattan always has lots of sirens and honking. Overall, though, this hotel is a very good value.

I stayed with my wife 2 nights. Staff was excellent. We checked our bags before the room was ready. When we checked out the bags were carried to the parking garage next door. The parking rate was discounted for guests. Get your parking stub validated by the hotel before picking up the car. The room was spacious. We were on the 8th Avenue side 10th floor. I would ask for the other side opposite 8th Ave to get a quieter room. The breakfast was very good and the staff worked hard to keep the food items full and the area clean. The location was perfect. We saw the Jersey Boys and the theater was around the corner on 52 st. 2 minute walk. Learn as much as you can about the transportation system. The bus and subways will save you a lot of walking and time.

Stayed at this hotel from Apr 26th-Apr 30th. Hotel rooms are good, beds are comfy, and housekeeping does a great job. The bathroom is a bit dated. The breakfast is a real disaster, actually we decided to book this hotel based on TA reviews and the "free" breakfast (not really free when the room rate is 300$ +) which is not a good reason to choose this hotel. No fresh items at all, and breakfast room is far too small compared to the number of guests. There is a warning outside that breakfast can get crazy after 8:50, which is an absolute understatement! Other negative point (albeit small) is that there is no possibility to print boarding passes. Positive point is the location, 5 min walk from Times Square, and 5 min to Columbus Circle, where you'll find Central Park and the Time Warner building with lots of shops.
I would advise you to stay here, but have breakfast elsewhere, i.e. at Ellens Stardust diner only one block away, with singing waiting staff!

The hotel's location is excellent - on 8th ave,. mins of walking to Times Square, some Broadway theaters , Central Park, Radio City and Rockfeller Center. The metro is also a block away.
The hotel is nicely decorated, modern, rooms are big (which is not always the case in NYC hotel) and clean. There is free internet access (not wireless)
The staff are very nice and professional.
A hot breakfast served that is part of the deal which is also nice.

There are 2 things that bothered during the stay are:
1. there are only 2 elevators and it looks that for this size of hotel it's not enough. Always found myself waiting for it for quite a while, sometimes even taking the stairs instead(from/to 7th floor)
2. Same problem with breakfast room - on any time between 7:30 and 9:30, it's always very crowded and the area with the food itself is quite small compared to the number of people trying to use it.
In overall, very good experience and I would stay in this hotel again.
