Blakely is a wonderful hotel, excellent location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, rooms that are very comfortable, clean, comfortable beds with good pillows and well appointed. The complimentary continental breakfast was a great plus and the restaurant is a good place for other meals, as well. the concierge service was excellent - there was always someone there to offer help, even umbrellas on our rainy day. We would consider no other place to stay in NYC.

Room Tip: Our corner suite #605 was great but know that while it had a large shower with an "in ceiling&q...

We've now stayed here 3 times and it gets better every time. The location is superb, and the hotel itself is excellent. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the staff are very helpful, the breakfast is great. We intend to continue visiting!

The Blakely is in a superb location for Times Square, Fifth Avenue and Central Park with a Subway a few mins walk away. There is also a car park next door for anyone brave enough to bring a car into the city. Reception and staff in main hotel were most helpful and could not do enough for their guests. Concierge would also have done anything for guests. Housekeeping was excellent with bedding and towels changed every morning on our return from breakfast. Breakfast was another matter or should I say the staff in the dining room. We found them to be quite indifferent and were made to feel asking for tea and coffee was more than a bother for them - most unlike the usual warm welcome in other American establishments. Food at breakfast was more than acceptable however but service with a smile would have gone a long way
I would however have no hesitation in using this hotel again so to all the helpful smiling staff WELL DONE

Room Tip: Room looking over 55th street on 10h floor was quiet and room temperature was always comfortable

Second time staying at the Blakely. Other than the rugs in the lobby have seen better days, our stay was as good as the first and we will stay there again. Other reviews are accurate with large clean rooms, friendly and able staff and a central location to central park, times square, etc.

This hotel's location was very good, central to most things, the rooms were reasonably spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were changed every day, lovely! the armchair was the most comfortable I have found in any hotel and had a footstool, very nice. Each room has a kitchenette, with microwave and fridge and coffee maker, though no kettle which would have made it perfect. The staff very very friendly and helpful, except for the breakfast staff. As in other reviews breakfast (which is free) was a bit of a nightmare, very busy at 10.00, we had a 15 min wait, coffee not great, and an envelope for tips on the table before you sit down. My husband went another day at 7.30 and said it was much better. Overall this was a great place to stay and I would go back again.

Room Tip: We were on 5th floor, it was very quiet. Peeked into the corner suites, they looked very nice!

As others have said, great location but also great staff, particularly the concierge staff who can't enough for you.
We had a 'no ask' upgrade to a suite and this is now our hotel of choice in New York, whether we get upgraded or not !

We have stayed with my husband in a hotel for 5 nights in August. We have chosen the hotel for the location and we were not mistaken. The location is perfect to explore the city: close to Central Park, Broadway, Times Square, 5th Avenue. Still being just few steps away from the active city life the hotel is in a smaller, more quite street which we found very pleasant too.

The hotel itself is good quality, clean and pleasant. Personnel was helpful and not too much intrusive. Continental breakfast in the mornings was good level continental, there was a possibility to order full breakfast for extra. The restaurant seemed to be small but it was never too much crowded. One evening we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was good the atmosphere cozy.

The room was quite spacious and clean, with carpets (which I personally like). The only minus was very loud AC- it's good that we didn't need it that much. Also price wise it starts to be quite expensive 390USD per night per room.

We would definitely come back to the hotel and would recommend it for everyone looking for good quality and location.
