“Perfect experience and great service”

We visited Tuscany in april and spent 10 nights at the hotel. The hotel was a positive experience and the service from the staff was just perfect! They were all very helpfull and we felt very welcome, when we arrived from Europe and visited NYC for the first time. We would certainly recommend The Tuscany to everyone, who are looking for a great hotel in NYC.

The Tuscany is an amazing hotel. The location is great, very close to Grand Central Station, the Chrysler Building and 5th Avenue. My room was big and included a wonderful bathroom and a very comfortable bed. I loved it and I am definitely coming back!

This is a nicely updated hotel although some renovations are still underway. Our room was large, clean, and modern. We even had a small walk in closet and vanity area. The furnishings were of good quality. The room looked to be professionally designed with its stylish furniture, drapes, and accessories. Wi-Fi was free in the room. The staff was very friendly. The location was also very central, just a few blocks from Grand Central. My only complaints are as follows. The room doors were very loud and made it difficult to sleep in past 8 AM with all the slamming and rattling. Plus, the elevator dinging was sometimes annoying.

My husband and I stayed at the Tuscany over Easter weekend 2013. My husband was very skeptical about the size of "New York hotels" but we were pleasantly surprised at how roomy and large the place was. It was also incredibly clean. The staff was interpersonal yet professional. The elevators were quite slow and out of order a few times but did not take anything away from our trip. Another thing, I've slept in quite a few hotel rooms and it always takes me a couple of days to get used to the hotel bed and pillows. The Tuscany was the first hotel EVER in which I slept immediately. I only wish I had taken down the name of the brand of pillows they buy.The best pillows for me EVER.
The hotel was centrally located to everything.We could walk to just about all of the big tourist attractions. The ones that were a bit far, taxis were surprisingly cheap.

My only suggestion would be to equip the staff with general knowledge about where to eat and happening places in the city. They didn't seem to know much about the city minus the obvious touristy things. I always like to ask locals about the hidden gems and fun eateries but they always answered "I don't know".

But, my husband and I have sworn to always check the Tuscany first for hotel reservations when we head to NYC again.

Traveled to NYC and decided to try an remodeling project and settled on the Tuscany. We were delighted with a large second floor room. The bed was comfortable and what a wonderful space. We were very pleased to be so near to the well appointed Fitness Center. We particularly enjoyed the helpfulness of John at the front door. The shower was a wonderful, full water experience with ample hot water. We are planning a trip back in the summer and this property is certainly on our short list

Room Tip: Second floor was quite enough and as soon as scaffolding comes down it will be a much better space.

I'm a travel professional and I not only send lots of clients to New York but visit a couple of times a year to keep up with friends and family and what is going on in the city. I sent clients to the Tuscany prior to the renovation and they were very happy, so when I needed 5 nights in NYC I decided to check it out and see how the hotel looked now.

I was delighted. From the very friendly doorman who greeted us by name as we exited the taxi (?) to the friendly, down to earth staff, every single hotel employee was helpful and always greeted us with a genuine smile. The rooms are large and the bathrooms enormous by NYC standards. The lobby is cosy and a great place to hang out with friends and, even though there is no restaurant, the little cafe serves continental breakfast and coffee and becomes a full fledged bar at night.

More pluses: A safe large enough for 2 laptops, free wifi, molton brown bath amenities and the most convenient location in the city. Yes it can be noisy on the street, but it's New York - get over it! Murray Hill has always been my favorite area to stay in New York and the Tuscany will now be my NYC address.

I caught the Red Eye into NY, and arrived at the hotel around 5am. The staff was very accomodating, and didn't have my reserved room available that early, but had an "upgraded" room available which they offered at no additional charge. The reception and front door staff was very helpful and courteous. The room appeared to be recently renovated, and was very clean and up to date. The next time I need to stay in Midtown, this will be the first hotel I look up to see if there is availability.
