We had a wonderful time on our first trip to NYC, staying at this hotel. I would recommend it to you. The bedroom was huge and there was a massive closet to hang clothes and store big suitcases. A great full length mirror, sofa, dressing table and two large windows. Only a couple of dissapointments (which could be so easily fixed)... lighting was quite weak, needed stronger bulbs and bathroom in need of a handy man; tap unscrewed itself, tiles and door a bit aged. Nice big bath but shower not brilliant. More a 3.5* hotel than a 4. PERFECT for a relaxing city break. Good outweighs the bad by 10:1. Location was ideal.

Room Tip: We had room 601, view of Chrysler and street below

Beautifully decorated boutique hotel with very spacious luxurious rooms, excellent location with only a 5 minute walk to the magnificent Grand Central station.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a touch of luxury. The only down side is the noise on the lower floors which is not a reflection on the hotel just a very busy city which starts to move early (we were on the 2nd floor so vehicle and refuse collection could be heard early in the morning).

Having said that, the hotel were more than happy to move us to a high room floor when one became available.

Travelled over Easter with my wife. We booked the room at a good rate and the main reasons for booking this hotel were the room size and location. We had a 9th floor corner room, which was c. 500sq ft. That is obviously BIG for NYC. The room was great. Comfortable bed, good TV, bathroom with shower in the bath (which I have issues with normally!), but the rainfall shower head with lots of pressure more than made up for the bath/shower curtain arrangement. The hotel itself is lacking in amenities, but we only used the hotel as a place to sleep. There are an abundance of bars, restaurants and coffee shops close to the hotel, and if you like walking (as we do), you can walk anywhere from here. Staff are super helpful and courteous. Having had some bad experiences in NYC, such as a TINY room in The Hudson and a dirty room in other places, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel if you are just looking for a comfortable base. If you expect all the trimmings such as bars, restaurants or gyms, then I would suggest you look elsewhere, but for the price and what we were after, this was a perfect choice for us.
