The Iroquois is a small, intimate hotel with attentive and personal service. Our room, while not large, was elegant and comfortable. The front desk made it easy to check in and check out. All the staff were welcoming and professional. The location couldn't be better.

The Iriquois hotel was very nice place to stay in New York. The rooms were very comfortable the bed fantastic and amenities were very good. Located close to Time Square, it is a very good location. We would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Iroquois for 9 nights after it was recommended by a family member and it truly was a home away from home. It's location was ideal, close to the shopping on 5th Ave, Times Square and the theaters.
The staff from the doormen to the front desk were fabulous, friendly and always welcoming to us.
The concierge staff were very good at their jobs and special mention to Vanessa who treated us more like friends and was able to answer our many questions with a smile.
The rooms were great and we looked forwards to returning to the peaceful haven after a busy day out.
We have found our new home away from home at the Iroquois and I can honestly say I was very sad to leave.

The Iroquois is THE place to stay in Manhattan. On 44th Street between 5th and 6th, the hotel is a short walk to theaters, Times Square, restaurants, public transportation, shopping and so much more! Taxis are easily available right outside the door. The front desk, concierge, door, and bell staff were consistently kind and polite, greeting us each time we walked in from the craziness that is NYC, and providing any assistance needed :) No, really...you will not believe how tranquil and welcoming the Iroquois really is until you experience it.

Our room was on the 10th floor and very quiet. There are two elevators, so we never waited more than a minute. The rooms was small because this is NYC, where space is a premium, but room layout was maximized by furniture placement, etc. We never felt cramped, and believe me, we did not pack light! Plenty of drawer and closet space to store our "millions of clothes and shoes," and even the proverbial kitchen sink! Comfortable beds! The bathroom was also small but quite sufficient for our needs; great Molton Brown products for use. Housekeeping was awesome, and nightly turndown service, with chocolates on our pillows, made the whole experience even better. There is free in-room wifi for guests, and when it's time to leave, the Library off the lobby has computers with printers for guests to print boarding passes.

The hotel has large umbrellas for guest use; perfect for the mid-summer downpour we experienced on the way to the theater one evening. There is also water and fresh fruit in the lobby, for when you come in after a long day in town.

We did not go to either the bar or the restaurant on the property, and would highly recommend Cafe Un Deux Troix a block away, for breakfast.

Our experience at the Iroquois greatly enhanced our visit to New York City. If it's about the little touches, this is the place to be! I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else! Can;'t wait till our next trip!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor, away from the street, so you can avoid traffic noise.

On our last stay in NYC we swore we would never stay in midtown again because of the mobs of tourists hanging out in Times Square. Well, we ended up having to stay in midtown again and it was a very different experience thanks to The Iroquois. It is located very close to most attractions, yet just far enough from the Times Square madness that you can avoid the crowds. The last hotel we stayed at we had to fight the crowds every time we wanted to take the subway. The rooms are not big but they are tastefully decorated and have wonderful bedding. I didn't love the pedestal sink because there wasn't a lot of room for all my toiletries. They do have a few glass shelves to place things on so it makes up for it. Nice bathrobes for guests which I would definitely use in cooler weather. Our room was on third floor facing the street and was extremely quiet. We were there over July 4th so that certainly helped with the noise factor. They have coffee available in the lobby in the morning and fresh citrus water during the day that I looked forward to daily. It looked like it had basil leaves in it. The entire staff was friendly and warm. My only critique was our closet was very shallow. It was fine for summer clothing but would have never fit winter clothing in it. If you are going in cooler weather and need to bring boots, coats, etc, just ask for a room with a bigger closet. We would not hesitate to stay here on our next visit to NYC.

Dear Mary5556,

We are so ecstatic to know that we were able to change your mind about midtown hotels! I know it can be quite challenging to relax with the amount of people that tend to flock to the area and I am happy to hear we were able to provide you with an "Oasis" to escape all of that. We do have quite a few different room types and we look forward to seeing you again and hopefully offering you something with a larger closet. Thank you again and if you have any questions or need help arranging your next NYC visit please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,

John Waechter

The Iroquois is 200 yards from Fifth Avenue and a 7 minute walk from Times Square and Broadway. It's in a quiet street - for NY - and is ideally located for all your NY activities. The staff are most helpful - especially the concierge - and the hotel has a calm efficiency for the busy tourist.
Rooms are spacious for NY and food good with a bar to relax in after a busy day.
Would certainly go again
