First, I agree with all the comments here about the great location and the quality of the suites.

But, the biggest asset this hotel has is their great service. We were constantly greeted by people who wanted to serve their guests. Everyone from the valets to the front desk did an outstanding job. Don't think about it, book your stay here.

Very nice rooms, excellent location just opposite TKTs, good breakfast, concierge and front desk very attentive and professional. Lobby seems a little dark but I believe they are remodeling. View from our room was very nice.

Room Tip: A room facing Times Square is always very good.

We stayed at the Double Tree for a week during the first week of July. The location is great, situated right in the middle of Time Square. We had a family of two adults and one child. Our room had a king size bed in one room and a fold out bed in the lounge room for our son. The bathroom contain a shower in the bath with access from the bedroom and lounge. There was a tv in both rooms and a fridge in the lounge room. I paid extra for a higher room for the view and also the noise reduction. The room was a good size. Not large but not cramped. The noise at night was minimal. You could still hear the occasional traffic noise but not too bad. The air conditioner was good. It was very humid and hot during our stay but was good in the room. I didn't mind the noise of the air conditioner as it drowned out any outside noises. I normally find it hard to sleep with outside noises but I slept fine here. Reception is located on the 3rd level. All staff were very helpful and accommodating. We received free wifi for the duration of our stay. This may have been due to us being Hilton Honours members. We ate in the restaurant a couple of nights and the meal and service was good. They have a children's menu. I booked a few months in advance as I knew that this time of year would be busy. It was not cheap however it had everything we wanted for our stay. I found it difficult to find accommodation that contain all the above features. If you are a family and want to stay right in Time Square I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Join Hilton Honours. It is free. May receive free Wifi. Choose a higher room. Good views and quieter...

Wow! We really enjoyed staying on the 35th floor of the hotel for our 6 day vacation. We had a corner room and although it may have been a little smaller than the other rooms according to the bell hop, our family of 5 was happy with the views of the water and Times Square.
Our only issue with the hotel had to do with the Concierge. The day prior to arriving, I called the Concierge for suggestions for transport from LaGuardia to the hotel. They referred me to goairlinknyc.com. For a family of 5, it cost over $130 for a private van. The driver was not polite, but it got us from A to B. Because we wanted to avoid this service again, we decided to ask the front door staff the day before we left, if they had a suggestion for transport back to the airport and they referred us to Martin Antigua Transportation and for $60.....yes, $60- the 5 of us were picked up at 6am sharp, as arranged. We had a nice, clean & comfy ride in a Suburban to the gate at LaGuardia. Martin was very nice and chatted with us during the ride. Most certainly will do that again. The second issue with the Concierge was getting theater tickets. We were trying to avoid the wait at the TKTS booth so the gal at the concierge desk got us our tickets. We were told they would be in the orchestra, but when we picked them up, they were NOT there and my husband was told we got 'best available'. They would have been fine, if that was what we were told. There was a $50 fee per ticket for their service. Next time, I'll go to the box office or get them on line ahead of time. Now, all of that said, I most certainly would stay here again. The hotel was clean, comfortable and situated in a great location. We are just 'smarter' now and hopefully this review will help someone else not make the same mistakes we made.

Used my Hilton rewards points to stay here for our anniversary. Perfect location for broadway, radio city, and Central Park. If you have never stayed at doubletree you will see the staff if much more friendly and helpful than other Hilton properties....even in NYC!

Hotel appears to be getting a lobby makeover and it is awkward that the lobby is not at ground level. We felt very secure because there is a 24/7 security guard at the ground level elevator to the main lobby.

Amazing views of Times Square from our room and your typical 2 suite rooms you expect from doubletree. We enjoyed our stay!

Once again we were lucky to make the very long journey to New York City for my friend's 40th birthday celebration. Having stayed at Doubletree three year's ago, and given it's fantastic location, we opted to stay once again.

Nothing has changed. The warm cookie was again to die for, and the check-in staff were polite and efficient. Our housekeeping staff were very pleasant also and did a fabulous job keeping our room in a clean and well-stocked condition.

The location of this hotel is obviously a huge benefit. Being a party of four ladies, we felt very confident and safe given the hotel's proximity to Times Square. The door staff downstairs were always helpful and polite, and arranged a private SUV transfer for our return to JFK.

This hotel will definitely not disappoint, and I'm sure you will be more than happy that you made the choice to stay at Doubletree Times Square!

Room Tip: Obviously the higher floors are much quieter!!

We stayed here for three nights in July, mostly chosen because we were a party of 6 and very few New York properties could accommodate us. The room had a living room with a pull out couch and two double beds in the bedroom with a spacious bathroom and a mini fridge and bar area. The room was very clean and there was no noise from the outside (we were on the 36th floor). The service was great and the downstairs entrance staff were always willing to help and the hot dog cart at the corner was a great stop for cheap eats! It is in Times Square so be prepared for crowds the minute you leave the hotel, but if you head away from the square and end up on 9th Avenue, there are a ton of restaurants that are little less "touristy". There is a metro station right at the corner which makes transportation easy.

Room Tip: I assume upper floors are quieter.
