It is my favourite hotel but only because it is on Times Square. I have stayed there over six times in the last 5 years, most of the time selecting the executive suites if we were with children and their friends.
There are no frills that is evident. Some of the furniture in the rooms now need to be refreshed because it is about to be worn out. They should be ashamed to ask certain of the "Best available Prices" listed on their websites. I am a Hilton Honors Gold Member and am embarrased that I have paid more for a room at a Doubletree Hotel than a Hilton or Conrad branded hotels. I guess they feel entitled to charge more as long as customers are ready to pay.
It was my favourite. With no included breakfast, internet charges most of the time and declining physical appeal i will move out to newer boutiques where breakfast and Wifi are included. Alright, I will walk a block or less (maybe two) to be on Times Square for the tourist walkabout.More
