I stayed at the hotel along with 3 friends, whilst celebrating a milestone birthday from the 22-29 June 2013.

The hotel is excellent value for money, really clean, great facilities, knowledgeable and hospitable staff and a superb manager who can not do enough to accommodate his guests. The location is greatly suited for all the cafes and restaurants in Hell's Kitchen and it is within easy walk to Times square - and I would add in a completely safe part of New York. As four girls, often walking back to the hotel in the early hours of the morning we felt extremely safe and able to do so.

Having stayed in both the Hilton on Avenue of Americas and the Sheraton off Times Square, this was much better value for money - and all the money I saved I was able to spend on myself.

I would recommend a stay at this hotel, and will will look forward to returning to it on my next visit.

Thank you all!

Room Tip: We stayed in both twin single bed room and a suite - couldn't fault them, so any room at hotel i...

We've just returned from a week long stay at Skyline and were very pleasantly surprised. The main reason for booking the hotel was the pool, we thought it would be great for our 3 year old. We stayed in the newer part in a deluxe room, which was extremely spacious by NY standards. When we checked in we were assigned a room with a double shower, and after a call to the front desk to request a bath instead this was quickly sorted by the time we got back downstairs.
The bathroom was spacious and clean, and the room felt clean and comfortable with decent linen on the beds.
The staff were pleasant, the adjoining tapas bar was handy, and the location was superb. Easy walk to Times Square and 5th avenue, and so many great surrounding restaurants.
And a special shout-out thank you to the security officer who helped my husband out when I accidently lost a ring down the bathroom sink.
We look forward to returning to Skyline again.

Room Tip: The deluxe twin rooms are great, very clean and spacious

We recently stayed at the Skyline and can report that hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The concierge was super friendly and knowledgeable concerning the subways and also some offbeat places my daughter wanted to visit. We were upgraded to a room with larger beds without having to ask. The valet parking is highly recommended and was able to accommodate my large conversion van as well. The hotel is relatively close to Time Square, the subways and there's an interesting 2 story grocery store nearby called the food emporium.

If you are looking for a luxury hotel with lots of bells and whistles, this is not your place. If you are looking for a clean, friendly, comfortable hotel at a good price within walking distance to attractions and public transportation, this is your place.

We stayed here for two weeks. Our arrival was friendly and warm. Everyone from the receptionists to the cleaning staff to the manager were extremely friendly.

Rooms are very large, a rare thing in NYC. We had a double queen. Bathrooms are large and modern. Rooms are clean and the cleaning staff are quick to keep rooms clean each day. The beds are super comfy. The only complaint I have is that there is no coffee maker in the room.
In the room there is ample storage space. There is a desk to work at, and a makeup table for the ladies.

The location cannot be beat. The hotel is within a 10 minute walk from most Broadway theaters. There are hundreds of dining options within walking distance. Many nice pubs and bars as well. City bus and boat tours just a couple of blocks away. The 50th and 8th subway station is just a short walk away.

In NYC since you are out in the city all the time day and night, you only need a clean and comfortable room to sleep in. Take the money you will save staying at Skyline and spend it on shows and dinner. Stay at the Skyline.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel June 27 thru June 30th, 2013. The Hotel is just ok, don't expect to much in the way of "nice" at the Skyline. The front desk clerk was rude as she informed us that check in time was at 3:00 PM. We had arrived early in the morning after a redeye flight from L.A. again later in the day about 2:30 we attempted to check in but once again were told check-in is at 3:00 PM, no sympathy for weary travelers. The Hotel room was big and the bed was comfortable however the room could use a deep cleaning.

I would not stay at this hotel again.

The Skyline Hotel was perfect for us. Our room was clean and comfy. We stayed two nights and were happy to be within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. We enjoyed happy hour at the adjoining restaurant and I was worried about driving to the hotel, but the valet and bellhop were quick to help us and made it easy! We enjoyed our stay and recommend the Skyline! Our son also enjoyed the pool!
