We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Elysee last week.& highly recommend it to fellow travelers. The location was great for easily accessing all of the attractions and 54th Street was very quiet. The service was outstanding and the entire staff was extremely friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. The full continental breakfast and the wine and hors d'oeuvres that were provided each evening offered tasty food and a great opportunity to meet other travelers. The bed was very comfortable. The sofa was not very comfortable as the cushions were sagging.

Hotel Elysee is a fantastic place to stay in NYC. Great location, great staff, great amenities. The hotel has a warm family style atmosphere with a second floor lounge available all hours. Toasted bagels for breakfast and a glass of red with cheese and biscuits after a busy day. Close to Central Park, close to Bloomingdales, Saks, Tiffany, subway around the corner and a cute little piano bar across the road called Bills where you can have a nightcap and singalong.
Highly recommend and that will be the hotel I stay at when I return to NYC.

Room Tip: ask for a room higher than level 7

My Wife planned our first trip to New York for my birthday. She chose the Hotel Elysee for our accommodations. We've travelled world wide and this was definitely a boutique hotel we would return to in the future. Located between Park Ave. & Madison it is a calm oasis away from the hectic pace, lights & crowds. Reviews on Trip-advisor mention the excellent breakfasts, evening "social" and attentive staff. We are in total agreement and extend our kudos & appreciation to all the staff behind the scenes.

When my wife booked our trip, she asked for a room with a balcony or in door patio as an extra special treat. The Hotel was happy to make every effort to accommodate her request and we were not disappointed...we had a beautiful enclosed patio where we could read, drink wine and recharge before setting off for the evening.

Exceptional hotel and we highly recommend it.

Last stay in this hotel was in 2011 when we had a few issues. What a difference this time around.

Room was HUGE, with no traffic noise at any time of the day or night and staff could not have been more helpful - booking show tickets, advising us on places to visit that were out of the ordinary. Just loved the breakfast feast and the evening cheese and wine reception, and how nice was it to be able to make a cup of tea after being out all day!

We did the evening tour of the Rock, which despite being very very busy we really enjoyed, and I would highly recommend the Highline Park - it was totally unexpected and so relaxing you forgot you were still in New York. Took an hour long carriage ride in Central Park, (have been to New York several times over the years, but never did this before). Had a wonderful meal at The Boathouse and saw a concert in the park.

Will definitely be back to Hotel Elysee - can we have the same room please?

We stayed at the Elysee for 3 nights at the end of September and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is excellent - just what we needed after an early morning walk in Central Park and the evening wine and cheese reception was most welcome after a day at the shops! The rooms are very comfortable although our bathroom was rather small - often a problem with 2 women travelling together. we had a couple of problems initially and the staff could not have been more helpful or responded any faster, they really do make the place. The location is perfect, 3 blocks from Central Park and right in the heart of the shopping and museum district. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Elysee.

Room Tip: Rooms on lower floors can be affected by noise from the road.
