Myself and 7 friends are just back from a 6 night stay at the Kimberly and I must say it's an amazing hotel. We booked 2 Deluxe double rooms and got upgraded to luxury one bedroom suites which were great. The rooms are very spacious, the most comfortable beds and a lovely shower with great complimentary toiletries (and very powerful hairdryer). All the staff - the concierge and doormen especially were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The rooftop bar is a great spot with outstanding views. The location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance to a lot of the main attractions but there is also a subway at the top of the street. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to friends!

We stayed at the Kimberly this weekend and it was a GREAT NYC experience. I would have given a 5 BUT we had a noisy radiator in our room on the 2nd night. (got in late and admittedly did not call to have looked at)

Pros:
- good location- close to subway and Roc Center (might be too far if you are doing all theater) but for a more general location away from Times Square - it was good!
- HUGE rooms - by NYC standards, it was a palace. (larger than daughters NYC studio apt! :-)
- well appointed amenities including Kimberly robes
- attentive staff and very helpful doormen (including the dear who gave us a coupon to park at 1/2 price across the street in the parking garage!!)
- free wifi - thank goodness (why hotels are just catching on to folks needing internet access is a mystery to me....we did not turn on the TV at all!!)
- excellent king bed!!

Not so pros:
- our room faced 50th and with street construction and the associated steel plates that rattled all night long, it was a bit noisy (nothing they could have done- welcome to NYC)
- some bathroom detailing (grout etc) could have been done but not too bad!
- room appeared to be missing some furniture (?)... lots of open space which appeared a little off
- not so great room temperature control

Overall, with a good price point discovered online, we LOVEd our stay at the Kimberly and will return again!!

I stayed at the Kimberly Hotel for a week for work. It's in a great area, perfect location to all businesses. I was also stuck here during the snowstorm that recently hit and the staff was great. The bellman Harry and the am bellman always greeted me by name and I felt like I personally knew them. Everyone was so friendly. In the morning the bar Upstairs is open for a fabulous brunch for only $15!! Very reasonable and room service was so quick! The rooms are also very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. I still need to ask where they get their down comforter. I felt like I was in heaven! I will for sure be back here again.

Our first stay in NYC, new years eve arrival. Oh so cold. So happy we selected the Kimberley. A grand hotel with service levels to match. We were truly spoilt. After a tiring flight from Australia, Peter (Concierge) arranged a fabulous welcome for us, bubbles with a selection of artisan cheese. The room was clean, spacious and we soon melted into the King bed. The roof top bar/restaurant was fantastic, looking out over the city at night, spectacular. Congratulations to the Kimberly team, no request was too difficult, as all our outings were arranged to an exacting standard. True value in the Big Apple. Excellent all round, so please consider The Kimberly.

Room Tip: King size bed a must, wow.

Stayed here in September of 2012. The hotel suites were amazing. I was on a company trip and evrything we needed was handled exactly as needed. Loved the benefit of using the New York Racquet Club locations. One was within jogging distance and could get a good work out while not doing company events. Great location, well within walking distance of many major attractions.
