Anthony Bordain was right - these are the best burgers in New York. The food is delicious and well priced + if the weather is nice (as it was tonight), you can eat your meal in the park. Whilst the shakes are divine, you can also get beer and wine if you prefer. We will eat there again!

“Best shakes ever...”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

I had been looking forward to trying a Shack burger for ages and was not left disapointed. Really tasty burger, good fries and nice beer too. However, the vanilla shakes are just THE best! So thick and flavoursome. I would've had another but the queue had got quite big. Check the webcam out too. Great idea. Eating outside feels so good too.
Do they deliver to the UK?

“Great burgers if you are prepared to wait”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

The Shake Shack is a classic feature of the Flatiron area. It a fast food joint and more and the food though simple is very tasty and not like your normal fatty fast food offering. They also do a range of shakes and there own specials and have a huge following which means they sell there own branded gear and gift cards.
The only downside is that there is always a queue round Madison Square Park and you can expect to wait at least 20 minutes to place your order and a further 10 minutes for your food to be ready. There own seating area is limited (for the people who attend) but there is loads of space in the park. It is also good value for money and should be tried at least once.

“dining in the park is what makes this special”
Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

Went here twice, once with the family for ice cream (the B line) and once for a burger and a shake with just my son. I just had a drink both times. When queried, my son said he liked the ice cream more than the burger and shake, so it doesn't sound so special.

I on the other hand had a split of red wine. Stags Leap, very nice. Served in a plastic cup (not so nice). For $37 (very not so nice).

The Italian visitor next to me kept her feet on her chair out of fear for the mice rhat seemed to infest the planters near the tables and would dart out periodically for crumbs.(It was about 9 pm). Didnt bother me as much as the overpriced wine.

“a must!”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

They have the best burgers in NYC (dont forget about hotdogs). Dont be put off by the queue. It is all worth it. Excellent when it is good weather and you may just seat in the park.
