I love Cafe Frida and go there quite often. They make the best traditional Mexican cuisine on the west side (south of 96th street) that I have found. The staff is courteous and accommodating but service can be slow when the restaurant is packed, just so you know what you are getting into should you decide to go at 8:00 on a Saturday night. The fish specials are excellent and I am a big fan of the skirt steak as well as the queso fundido (especially if you get flour tortillas with and chorizo in)
