We stumbled upon this restaurant on a recent trip to NYC, and were thoroughly impressed. The staff were friendly, humorous and knowledgeable, and the steaks were excellent (and huge!).
Being natively South African, and thus used to high quality meat, Buenos Aires didn't disappoint.
The "Chorizo" cut is a gargantuan slab of meat which was looked formidable when served but was beautifully cooked (rare) and well seasoned. Likewise for the T-bone: a sumptuous and very tender cut that was also perfectly cooked (again, rare!).
We had two sides – a salad and some fries – both very nice and well presented. The meal was washed down with a phenomenal Argentinian Malbec which the waiter helped us choose after a brief conversation about our wine tastes.
The meal was topped off with a dessert of Panqueque de Dulce de Leche which was completely over the top but absolutely delicious. I had to eat most of it as my partner had given up completely, but I did not complain!
All in all, a lovely evening out and would highly recommend.
