We stopped in hear for a quick lunch, and were surprised by how extensive the menu was - narrowing it down to one choice was not easy! We all ended up with various sandwiches, which were delicious. Highly recommend the panini with marinara, spinach and ricotta. Some of the drinks were however a bit hit and miss, the apple smoothie was way too sweet. We sat up on the counter and the man working behind was also very friendly and chatty. A lovely american deli for a group of Aussie tourists!

Not a good restaurant at all! First of all the staff were quite abrupt, and when we sat down we ordered a hot chocolate only to be told that there was a minimum of $10 per person charge. I decided to challenge this and ended up only paying for the drinks and a slice of mediocre cheesecake which was on offer. We felt that the staff should have welcomed our custom instead of making us feel uncomfortable in their premises with rules that were not common place elsewhere in New York.

Have had breakfast here a couple of times and there is nothing much to complain about as far as I'm concerned. It isn't fancy but the pancakes, eggs and coffee were great and my friends' bagels looked yummy too. The waffle iron was broken the last time I went which is a shame. The waitress was friendly and took it in good part when the man behind me forgot that the restaurant is kosher and tried to order bacon - something I imagine happens often! We paid around $60 including tip for three substantial breakfasts, coffees and juice which seemed reasonable to me.

Have stopped here over the years many times...mostly for the frozen yogurt. The waiters are so rude and follow you out if they don't get a 40% tip. Guy that takes the money even worse. Same thing every time. It is also not clean and the bathrooms are downright filthy...cockroaches are not uncommon. Usually sit at the counter and try to just enjoy the yogurt. Last visit this week...totally overcharged and just had to leave as they would not admit that two small yogurts were not $13.00.

Located just below Central Park and near the great stores of 5th Avenue, this kosher vegetarian cafe was great and we ended up eating there 5 times over 9 days.

The food ranges from omlettes to falafel to traditional European soups to veggie burgers and great salads and fish. The pastries and ice creams alone are worth the visit for a short snack or date.

Their coffee is almost addictive as it has a lovely expresso/turkish coffee taste and aroma - with free refills!

Prices are very reseasonable and the place is open from early morning to late evening dinner - a rarity among kosher and non-kosher cafes in the Manhatten area which often close about 6 p.m.

You can also pre-pay for Shabbat meals.

We never got next store, but the owner also runs a Kosher Sushi restauarant and a separate meat deli just next door - open during the weekdays.
