Description: SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY is an authentic Memphis-Style BBQ restaurant and bar. We boast some of the finest southern food found this side of the Mason Dixon Line. We feature traditional specialties including Dry Rubbed BBQ Ribs, Sweet and Sticky Baby Back Ribs, Crispy Southern Fried Chicken, Fried Pickles, and Mac & Cheese that you'll never forget. Our Southern fare is complimented by juicy corn fed Steaks, grilled jumbo Gulf Shrimp with Rosemary Grits, and lighter fare like our Watercress and Praline Salad, and Grilled Salmon with Black Eyed Peas. In addition to our fine cuisine, we offer a full line of draft beers, an extensive list of sipping tequilas, and over 50 of the Country's finest Bourbons. World renown wine expert, Gary Vaynerchuk, has hand selected an eclectic wine list that pairs beautifully with our diverse menu.

“Good environment, average food”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

This place is good for a quick bite. Disappointed from the start, there only three of fours servers on Saturday afternoon, just before peak hour, which contributed to bot being served, let alone acknowledged for nearly twenty minutes.
Moved to the bar and got a menu and drinks right away. Bartender was very efficient but not friendly, barely made eye contact. Noticed the server assigned to the area we had been sitting at never came to the table, instead another one took over to make sure people did not walk out.
Food was average. Onion rings and sliders were delicious. Rolls were good, but were distilling grease. Drinks are reasonably priced and good pour.
Not sure I'd recommend it or return here. They have live bluegrass music, which was very good.

“If BBQ food is your thing, this is heaven!”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

Personally I loved the self-indulgence of eating everything served with cheese instead of vegetables, and this place was no let-down! I had pulled pork sandwich with (delicious) fries and coleslaw, boyfriend had the ribs with disco tots (tater tots with cheese and gravy - YES!) which was completely delicious. Service was friendly enough, didn't have to wait for a table and was only $80 for both of us with 2 drinks which considering we had paid $60 for breakfast wasn't too shabby!
Great walking distance from theatre district.

These are the two dishes I tried - both very good. The open front wall is really nice on days with good weather, and the wait staff was friendly and prompt.

“A Good Quick Meal”
Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

We stopped here for a quick late night Saturday meal. Good vibe and decor, staff was attentive and helpfull with the menu. We enjoyed hot wings, fried pickle chips and Memphis Dry Rub Ribs. Not the most healthy meal but....mmm good

All was good and we will stop by again when we visit NY

“Close and reasonably near time square”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

My family came for a Broadway matinee and were starving by the time 5pm came. I called Southern Hospitality during intermission to try and get a reservation on a Saturday, and they said they were booked for the day. I decided to take a chance and walk my family the 4 blocks to the restaurant. I am glad I did, the hostess was able to seat my family of 7. We ordered appetizers and everything from ribs, to the grilled chicken sandwich, to the salmon. We had pull pork sliders, artichoke dip for appetizers and a bevy of drinks. My family left quite satisfied. Please note the portion sizes are APPROPRIATE...... not to big not to small. Its a fun place to go for a bite after or before a show. But the restaurant does fill up....so take note and plan.
