“Good place in the West Village”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

Small restaurant in the West Village tucked away on 12th Street with a focus on Scandinavian style. Unfortunately they were out of all the fish entrees, but the Swedish meatballs were very tasty and filling. The smorgasbord starter was excellent, and would be a good choice for a main course as well.

“Swedish meatballs and lingonberries...need I say more?!”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

Our daughter found this restaurant and we went mainly for their Swedish meatballs. Very large portion (probably 10 or so good sized) with mashed potatoes and gravy and red cabbage. Delicious! Even made room for dessert (vanilla waffles). Fun place! They even have their own farm where they get their produce and meats.

“Delicious, farm grown brunch!”
Reviewed October 22, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

A friend and I visited for brunch on a Saturday. We sat outside; great spot for people watching! Although the menu didn't have an overwhelming number of choices, we were both able to find a dish that we really enjoyed. I had the eggs florentine and not only was the dish delicious; the sides were amazing too! Prices were reasonable and service was very good.

“Amazing meatballs”
Reviewed October 10, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

My husband and I go to Smorgas every month or two when we get Swedish meatball cravings - and boy does it satisfy us! We went to Sweden last year and afterwards were looking for good meatballs in New York and we found them at Smorgas. They give you a healthy portion, and come with delicious potatoes and lingonberry sauce which adds a nice tang. We go home happy every time.
