“Interesting way to spend an hour!”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

As there are sooo many great museums and landmarks to see in NYC, this tour is a fun way to fill an hour and half, especially if you are an aficionado of art deco, architecture, old movies, and of course the Rockettes. If your time is limited in NYC - I wouldn't put it on top of the list - but if you have time it is fun and very interesting tour of this wonderful and famous landmark. The tour guides are also excellent and one of the highlights of the tour was the photo's and Q&A with a real live Rockette!

My daughter who is a young dancer (14 years old) especially loved this tour and it was the highlight of her trip as she loved seeing the costumes, stage, and the icing on the cake for her was meeting a Rockette.

“Should be renamed Radio City Music Hall Lounge/Restroom Tour”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

Maybe I expected too much heading into this tour or maybe it was due to a "super secret event" they were preparing for but I was disappointed by this tour. Most of the lobby was curtained off due to the super secret event which turned out to be the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy phone. The guide was quite good and the viewing of the stage hydraulics was interesting. However we only got a small glimpse of the stage and that was from the back of the upper balcony. We did spend quite of bit of time in the both the men's and women's lounges and learning about the restrooms. We also met a Rockette and had a picture taken with her. I would not take this tour again.

“Really Interesting Tour”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

We were at a bit of a loose end when we decided to do this tour, and I am so glad we did, it was so interesting.

This tour gives you a 90 min insight into the design/decoration of the building and a backstage tour. You get taken around by your own guide, who tells you all about its history. You get to stand on the stage, see the hydraulic system, view a costume room and all the memorablia from artists that have performed there over the years. You also learn all about the famous 'Rockettes', get your photo taken with a current rockette and then listen to a brief talk from them.

Seeing the original furniture from the 1930's was amazing, including work foot pedal powered hand driers.

“Not bad”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

Overall I enjoyed this tour. It's not too pricey. You do learn some interesting facts. However I felt the tour was rushed & that the time could have been better spent. There were quite a few toddlers & babies on my tour who slowed it down with no fault to the guide. We wasted time taking pics with a Rockette individually or in small groups. These pics are on sale at the end. U wait while all 28 ppl take pics! Boring. U come in the room, take ur pic then stand in this small room with everyone. The Rockette said 2 sentences - nothing much of value. I expected this to be the highlight of the tour but it was a big disappointment. The group as a whole only got to ask a few questions since we had no time, I guess b/c of the kids. Since nothing was going on we got to do a couple of extra things - go on & under the stage.
