We've visited NYC several times previously but have always stayed in the 50's. Hotels were booked because of St. Patrick's Day Parade, so we decided to give Soho a try. We are so glad we did! The staff was polite, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was very clean (though too much air freshener in the room). Good location -- it was an easy subway ride to the Lincoln Center, and an easy stroll the next day to the New Museum in the Bowery. In the evening we went to a movie at the Angelica Theater and enjoyed our chilly walk back to the hotel. Parking is a couple blocks away, but there is a pull-in driveway in front of the hotel for check-in.
Our trip was in celebration of our wedding anniversary. Not sure it would have been as good a location with our kids, who don't enjoy big cities quite as much as we do. The room was small, but for two -- perfect!More
