The best thing about this hotel is the location - in soho. Given its a 3 star, as long as you are not expecting boutique, it's good soho value.
Staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Visitors from outside the US might find the breakfast on disposable utensils a litte strange, but at least these are now biodegradable. Breakfast is free, however, I couldn't stomach the rubbery caged-chicken eggs (were they eggs?) and spent some of the money saved on the room on organic egg breakfasts a block away at Sanctuary T's. For espresso try "Everyman Espresso", also on west broadway.
Bottom line: Basic, but good value.

Dear roo15,

Thanks for your feedback, it is very much appreciated. Our utensils are indeed biodegradable in an effort to go green. We are happy to hear that our staff treated you kindly and hope to see you return.

Kind Regards,

Jatin Kumar

The employees here were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but clean. The walls are pretty thin also. Our neighbors were quiet thankfully! The only downside to this Hotel is the street it is located on. Watts St. is a direct feed to the Holland tunnel which backs up with traffic everyday. We did not have any trouble walking 1/2 block to 6th Ave. and getting a taxi almost immediately each time we needed one. The subway is 1 block North or 2 blocks south depending which line you want. The breakfast is plentiful just like all other Hampton Inn's. We were there to move our son in to NYU and this Hotel is one of the few that are somewhat close... The one block walk to the subway blue line saved us from walking about 12 blocks or more.

Dear Abycarr,

We are delighted to hear that your stay went smoothly. Thank you for the kind comments about our staff members. We apologize if the area’s traffic caused you any inconvenience but are happy to hear that everything else went well. Thank you for choosing us as your choice hotel while you moved your son in to NYU and we wish him luck with his studies. Look forward to hosting your stay again.

We were delighted with this hotel. The location is great, close to Subway stations and very nice neighbourhoods. The view from our room on the 17th floor was stunning, and the breakfast was outstanding

Dear Valeggua,

We are pleased to hear that your overall stay went well regardless of the few cons you experienced. Being that you mentioned you would love to stay with us again, please be aware that a corner room facing north would be the ideal room to avoid Holland traffic noise. You are always welcome to request or address an issue or concern as we are more than willing to figure out solutions. We hope to see you here again in the near future.

I chose this hotel to stay in NYC based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. It was a perfect location for trawling the streets of Soho and Tribeca and walking distance to the East and Greenwich Village, Little Italy and Chinatown. We also walked to Times Square, Central Park and the Financial District from here though that was a little over the top and left us foot sore! Yes the rooms are small, and you get the lights of the city through your room and the air conditioning is a little noisy, but I slept perfectly well and the beds were really comfy and the shower great. The breakfast that is provided is a good filler for the day, and they seem to have different hot food options daily. We loved having a daily drink at the hotel bar and watch the world go by...oh and the view from the roof terrace at night is fantastic. Hotel and bar staff were always kind and courteous. Highly recommend.

Dear TheresaAndy,

We are more than delighted about how great your stay was. It’s a good feeling to know that our team catered to your needs all around. You are correct, our breakfast is considered Deluxe Continental breakfast and we do change our hot entrée’s daily. We are happy you chose us as your resting place while you discovered all of New York. We hope to host your stay again!

Jatin Kumar
