“Hidden Gem @ Columbus Circle”

This tiny museum was the best find on my latest trip to NYC. There were 2 exhibits: The Adoration of the Magi by Bartolo di Fredi and Bookmaking in the Age of Gutenberg. Both excellent, small, good audio productions. FREE!!!

“Classy small museum near Lincoln Center”
Reviewed May 22, 2010

This small museum is on the 2nd floor of the American Bible Society. It is a member of the National Association of Reciprocal Museums (NARN) so if one is a NARM member, admission is free.
The current exhibit is on Spanish religious art around the 14th and15th century and its connection to Jewish artists who painted Christian religious pieces, especially in churches. We saw a previous exhibit on art by the famous German artist Drurer. The other exhibit room has historic bibles, one that was in Braille and used by Helen Keller.
This good small museum is worth an hour or two in a peaceful setting in New York City

“Interesting Small Museum”
Reviewed December 29, 2007

This interesting museum near Lincoln Center is attached to the American Bible Society. The show I saw was art inspired by the parable of the prodigal son. The exhibit was in a large room and was fascinating.
Recommended for those who like small museums with a specific focus.
