Description: Actor Chazz Palminteri in partnership with the owners of Empire Steak House opened Chazz Palminteri Italian Restaurant in midtown Manhattan. A year later, he brought his play-turned-movie, A Bronx Tale to Broadway and has since decided to bring his namesake restaurant to the 'bright white way' too! Our location at the Cambria Hotel (46th Street) allows theater goers to pair a showing of A Bronx Tale with a 'taste of the story,' a great lunch, dinner and brunch spot with access to almost every subway line and an excellent respite from the hustle and bustle of 46th Street. The new and improved location is not only accessible for New Yorkers and better suited for Chazz's connection to the entertainment world, it also has outdoor spaces (20 seats in the front and 25 in the back), a bar and lounge with seven tables and nine bar seats, and the main dining room around 100 seats.

Great atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. Food was solid without being spectacular, the risotto was poor however

We were staying at the connected Cambria Hotel and almost missed a fantastic meal of this elegant Italian. We expected a typical hotel restaurant but found it to be an upscale option. Although actor Chazz Palminteri’s name is on the place it is actually managed by the Empire Steak Houses. The tuxedoed maitre d' was efficient and was most gracious when we asked if we could sit at the bar (something we usually prefer). This is not the sort of place you go to in a t-shirt of cutoffs, but neither to you need a coat and tie. They attract a fair number of New York business types. The excellent bar tender took great care of us, she was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. They apparently make the pasta in house. The Tagliatelle con Quattro Formaggi was decadent. The sauce on the Pappardelle Bolognes was some of the best we have ever had. The prices may seem a bit high (not for NYC), but the quality to top shelf; and the portions large.

4 of us came for dinner. We had appetizers and each had an entree. Cesar salads were not large...soup of the day was good..mussels were good

Seafood and pasta dishes are recommended

Service was good and attentive

Wine list is reasonable

Only issue that it is in a small hotel and the bathroom is in the basement...not unusual for small hotels like the one it is housed in that area.

Would go back

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for dining with us and taking the time to share your feed back. Glad to hear the wine list was to your liking and service met your expectations. Our seafood is always the freshest and pastas always made with love. We apologize for the bathroom inconvenience, our building location only allows us to maintain bathrooms in the hotel.
Hope to see you again in the near future
Best regards

Teen daughter and I spent a long weekend in NYC. We both love pasta and I really wanted to try a new place in midtown. This restaurant is very lovely. Some people were more dressed up than we were (we had been shopping all day and were in jeans) but others were casual. But we received stellar service and were not made to feel underdressed. We started with burrata and then each chose a pasta. My daughter always goes for vodka sauce and she loved hers. I went with bolognese and it was delicious. The pasta was so fresh. We had no room for dessert, alas. I actually found the prices reasonable given the quality and location. Highly recommend.

My 11 year old daughter and I were staying at Cambria hotel next door and went to the restaurant for just dessert and coffee. First, our presence seemed to annoy the female bartender who seemed resentful that she had to deal with us. We were put in a corner and largely ignored and I received interesting facial expressions when I attempted to ask for anything. The tiramisu was extremely overpriced and had no flavor. I'm glad we didn't have dinner there because it appeared that the whole menu was overpriced.
