Stayed here for one night with a free night reward on a Saturday. If I had paid for the room, it would have been over 300 dollars and I would not stay for that price.
The hotel website mentions that it's a high-tech hotel but not sure what that means. Nothing in the room has anything to do with technology except for the Internet TV.
There are double shades which I thought would be controlled with a remote or switch but you have to reach behind the standing lamp and pull the chain. Even with double shades, you will still hear street noise.
The switch next to the bedhead looks like a master switch for the room but it's just for the bedside lamp right over the switch and you have to turn the lights off individually or turn off the master switch placed next to the door, which will also shut off other electricity thus stop phone charging. There was also a knock on the door at around 9:20am on Sunday morning 'checking.'
The water pressure is just so bad but I liked Aveda amenities.
The elevator is the worst - it's the kind of elevator that you press the floor first and then you get assigned to one. There are three that go to all the floors and one just between the lobby (6th floor) and the first floor. Pretty sure that it's programmed to run the minimum...Stayed here for one night with a free night reward on a Saturday. There are three that go to all the floors and one just between the lobby (6th floor) and the first floor. Pretty sure that it's programmed to run the minimum number of elevator - everyone gets assigned to a single elevator and I have seen people not being able to get in in spite of all the waiting.
There are also just not enough people in the lobby and the bell desk.
The location is pretty great though - close to Penn station and major touristy areas. More
