I stayed for 2 weeks at the Chelsea apartment with my mid-twenties nephew. The apartment is cheerful, modern, neat and clean and the beds, chairs, sofa were all really comfortable. Although the sleeping spaces are not fully enclosed, they are separated by a living area, and the apartment is quite roomy by Manhattan standards. The small room with the double bed would be fully enclosed if it had a door on it, but as the doorway faces the corridor, it's not an issue. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and some privacy is provided by partial walls separating it from the living area. We felt there was sufficient privacy. While the hum of Manhattan can be heard in the apartment, it is on a relatively quiet street, and no noise at all was heard from other apartments in the building. Wi-fi and TV worked perfectly. There is no lift, but it's only two flights of stairs up. Lara was very helpful and generous with the use of her lovely home. The location is unparalleled, with a subway entrance for the A,C,E and L lines 200 metres from our door, and elevator entrance to that station only two blocks away. The E train goes all the way to JFK airport, so you can take the subway from Sutphin Blvd outside JFK all the way to your door in just 50 minutes! An entrance to the 1,2,3 line is only a block further away, and an entrance for the B,D,F,M line two blocks away on the corner of 6th Avenue. We were anywhere we wanted to be in minutes, so could do several activities in the one day and not have to worry about travelling time. As for the area itself, Chelsea is definitely one of the coolest places in Manhattan, with dozens of fantastic restaurants and cool bars, and lots of great fresh food stalls, casual dining at the Chelsea Market (and for Australians, superb coffee from a takeaway bar!). The highline was just over a block away. We found 3 supermarkets within 2 blocks' walk, a laundry/drycleaner at the end of the block and an ATM one block away. Just south of 14th street was Greenwich Village, with dozens more very nice restaurants, lovely boutiques and jazz clubs. This part of Chelsea was a perfect place to stay if you want to immerse yourself in a vibrant, modern area and want easy and quick access to other parts of the city.

We loved our stay at this apartment. This was our first time in NYC and we brought our 6 mo old baby along.
The apartment is newly remodeled with nice furnishings.
You will find everything you need in this apartment. We couldn't find an iron nor ironing board, we asked owner if she had one (easy to contact via txt msg) and she said she didn't have any, but that same day we came back to the apartment and a brand new iron and ironing board were waiting for us. So said this, you will be well taken care of.
One of the best subway lines, is just steps from the door. That line connects with everything else. Lots of things and places to eat and shop around the area.
Everything in Manhattan is around 15 min away via subway.
We are looking forward to go back to NYC and we will DEFINITELY stay at this apartment.
