A neighborhood staple has closed. And we do not know why! It was open just a week ago. Sigh. The truffle risotto was fantastic. Always a good vibe and usually hard to walk-in and get a table. No news. And the phone lines are out of service. Sigh

“Great for Lunch and Cocktails at the Bar”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

Stopped in one Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. Aside from the slight awkwardness of the bar (it's more designed for service than people sitting at it), the experience was fantastic.

The bartendering staff can honestly be said to craft their drinks not just pour them. The bartender was knowledge about his bourbons and even asked what condiment I wanted and presented alternatives to the standard cherry. The bar comes stocked with proper sized ice cubes (not that mass produced chip ice that losts of bars use) and a wide range of liquors.

The food was also great. The burger was juicy and cooked to order. The tomatoes were actually red (even though it was April), not that icky white/pink that you usually get from a mid-range restaurant.

The space itself is also unique. Little alcoves dot the inside, and the place takes on a very bistro vibe. The decorations add charm without looking overdone or forced (though I don't understand why the chandeliers are enclosed in plexiglass).

I highly recommend stopping in if you are in Soho and looking for a lunch spot or just need a cocktail after shopping.

“Small hip place, nice vib, cool music great food.”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Stopped in for a late brunch and was very pleasantly surprised. Cool 60s / 70s mix playing on stereo (Clapton, Beatles, Stones) at perfect level. Brunch drinks are very small but only $6. regular drink was on expensive side BUT definitely a geat pour of grey goose so, I can't complain. Bistro salad was delicious. Perfect balance of dressing / cheese / walnuts. Bass tacos were a rool of the dice but did not disappoint. VERY lightly fried, not greasy at all. A little smear of spicy guac and slaw and lightly toasted flour tortilla complimented the fish perfectly without feeling heavy at all. Monterey eggs with tostada, black beans, guac, pico cheese was very good. Tasted like we were in Cabo.

Menu seemed on smaller side but there were plenty of good choices and every plate we saw look awesome. Will be back for sure.

“Worth the wait”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

We had a 9:45pm reservation and were not seated until 10:15 as a couple drank water for 45 minutes after paying the check. The hostess was polite and bought us a round of drinks. Though they have a limited wine list they were out of the bottle I selected (annoying). However, the server pointed us to a comprable bottle of Tempranillo which was very good. The food was delicious and the service was prompt but not rushed. It is loud but you could carry on a conversation.
