We wanted to try a traditional diner from brekky and Malibu was close to our hotel. Had the brekky special which has 10 or so different meal options - from omelettes to pancakes and also includes coffee and a freshly squeezed juice with most meals under $10. We got a bacon & eggs meal and the french toast with berries and both were great.
Service was fast and efficient, with coffee regularly topped up. Would definitely recommend this diner

We were on 23rd and had been looking for somewhere for breakfast , so we ended up here at the Malibu diner. It was a busy little place and seemed quite popular - there is a trad style long counter dining out front and all the booths are at the back , which as we are a family of 4 is where we sat.
Hubby had eggs Benedict (his fave) , kids had waffles with maple syrup , and a side of bacon and I had bagel with cream cheese and a side of Peanut Butter (diet starts back home in UK - ok)
I love a grapefruit juice in the morning , but find that most places usually only offer apple/orange/cranberry - well I was able to get my beloved grapefruit juice here : ). (Actually TBH most of the places we ate brekky during our week in NY had it - strangely not the case in Florida )
Won't digress any further , but if you are passing here and can't decide where to breakfast - it's ok.

We spent the majority of our time eating in this great diner with our friends. This diner is open 24 hours a day, and so offered breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night snacks. We used this diner on lunch time visits predominately, but also ate there on one evening and also late night (1am) following a night out in the bars! The food is of good quality, and plentiful. Pricewise it's not expensive and due to us dropping in with groups as small as 2 and as large as 20+, the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Service was very efficient. Overall, we'd highly recommend this diner.
