Description: Thai Select seeks to thrill the New York epicure with Thai that's global, fresh and fun. Located in the midtown-west area of Manhattan, Thai Select offers healthy, modern Thai cuisine with worldly flare. Although the signature taste remains authentic Thai in flavor, the presentation might be a bit French in aesthetics, a bit Italian in portion and a bit Japanese in simplicity. With dishes like Kee Mao Fettuccini (made with whole wheat pasta) and Fruit Fried Rice (stir-fried with seasonal fruits), Thai Crabcake (encrusted to perfection) and Coconut Puff Martini (jumbo shrimp hand-battered in coconut strips), the kitchen selects only the very best dishes in Thai cuisine and only the freshest of ingredients picked from the farmer's market for our patrons; hence the name, Thai Select.

“Good Thai food”

The Service was nice and fast and the food was very good. The only negative point was that close to us was a table with a group of American girls/woman. They talked so loud that we could not really enjoy the time.

“LOVED it !”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Great place. Good service. Happy hour until 20:00 so get your $5,- cocktails! I We tried a blueberry Mojito, which was actually a bad choice, but that's personal taste. Food was excellent. Try the chicken Satéh with peanut sauce. Delish! We had been there, finding it ourselves more or less by accident,as a 'walk in' and then some days later some friends invited us there because of the rave reviews it gets. And for good reason.

“Great Thai food!”

This was my first experience eating Thai food and I loved it. I tried the Pad Kee Mao and it was perfectly spiced. Friends all enjoyed their meals as well. Would definitely dine here again!

“affordable, delicious and unpretentious”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

On recommendation from my hotel front desk staff I walked to Thai Select for a quick dinner after a long day of travel. This place was just perfect.

Appetizer was Chicken Shumai and it was piping hot, delivered in less than 10 minutes, and terrific. I had medium spice Green Curry with rice. Though the rice was served a bit cool and the curry could have used a little more heat, I'd rather they kick the heat down rather than melt my taste buds off. The flavor was complex and very tasty; I really enjoyed it. And the price can't be beat, particularly for NYC. I was shocked. I got our of there on less than $25 including a more than 20% tip. That never happens in NYC.

I can't imagine who complained about the wait staff here. I was dining alone and was treated better than I have been at nearly any restaurant in NYC, and I come here a LOT. The waitress was AWESOME -- helpful and attentive.

I will be back again, probably in a day or two. I highly recommend this place.
