Amazing lunch specials!! Get the unlimited wine for $16 per person. The house red and white wines are really fantastic. Definitely recommend this place.

Where to begin?

We had just arrived in NY, known for great food, and stopped here because it was busy (usually a good sign) and it looked nice.

Decor was very warm and inviting, obviously Italian, and there was a great vibe. It was very loud and noisy, but my partner and I were there for the food.

We ordered crostini, a pere e noci salad, and a margherita pizza, along with some wine. It was all downhill from there.

There were bread guys that would walk around with one type of fresh bread, distribute to tables, then reload with different bread. A cool concept for sure but while we saw most tables were attended to regularily, our bread was served about 10min in with the wine.

We waited about 30min for the crostini and salad, and despite enjoying the bread immediately after it was served no one came by with more.

The crostini was cold, and although I asked for the salad dressing on the side, it was added directly. We didn't want to send it back so we accepted it but the dressing was extremely salty and oily, so much that we couldn't eat it. We informed our server who offered to get another one, but we declined as the pizza had just arrived. We also had to ask for more drinks (water and wine) as we'd bern empty for the last 15min or so.

The pizza was another disappointment. Extremely salty, soggy crust, and like the crostini, served lukewarm to cold. We tried to get the attention of our server, who appeared to be avoiding our table now, but it was another 15min of waiting patiently before we got fed up and asked the girl working the front entrance about getting our bill.

The server then returned with a dessert menu, and finally asking if we wanted more drinks or bread. We just wanted our bill at that point. It came and we were charged full price for each item - including the salad we couldn't eat.

We explained that we shouldn't have to pay for the salad. There was a disagreement on this, so as a compromise we paid the bill and left no tip (which accurately reflected the service).

One of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. Over the next 7 days in NYC we enjoyed many great meals, so do yourself a big favour and just keep walking past this restaurant. There are too many enjoyable places to visit that you don't want to waste a meal here.

We had a fabulous dinner last night! It was reasonably priced, too! We had an appetizer, 2 meals and a bottle of wine for 91dollars before tip! I highly recommend the lamb shank, it was braised to fork tender! We sat on the patio and enjoyed the sights and sounds! Our waitress was wonderful and very honest in her wine recommendations by NOT recommending the most pricey bottle on the list!

The food was great, the noise unbearable.
ITIS really a pity that people behave like they are in a bar and just shout at each other.

A tip for the waitress: barbers d'asti is not barbera d'alba.

We went to the restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. After checking all the reviews I was a bit skeptical. As it turned out the reviews were spot on. IB is the perfect spot for a fun time at brunch on a Sunday. The crowd was fun and energetic. The all you can drink mimosas, champagne and screwdrivers were great and the music was perfect to pull everything together. I was somewhat underwhelmed with the food (eggs benedict/crab) but I'm open to trying other items on the menu. I was definitely disappointed with the Bloody Mary as the garlic was far too overwhelming and made the drink not very good to taste! Highly recommend reservations and bringing a good group of friends. If you're looking for a romantic spot go early.
