We went to EE for my friend's Birthday. We had such a good time. Great service and the food is delicious !!! As a celiac person it can be hard to eat in a reataurant. But not at EE. Asking for gluten free food is not a problem at all. They can accomodate you from the appetizer to desert. Ask for the gluten free pastas and the gnocchis, you wont be disapointed. I can't wait to go back. Special thanks to Daniele who made this dinner perfect !

Our group of 5 came here after a Sunday Broadway matinee because of the good reviews and it was literally right around the corner. From the outside, this is not a showy place with just a small canopy with the restaurant name on it. Step inside, however, and the dining room is very attractive. The lighting was just right, not too dark but bright enough to read the menu and see the food. We were greeted and seated at a round, comfortable table right away. Within a few minutes, our server handed each person their menu and brought over the wine book which contained a huge variety of wines and specialty drinks for every price range. I asked the server for a suggestion about a sweeter wine and he suggested the specialty drink, which was excellent. The ambiance was relaxing, quiet, welcoming. With two vegetarians and three carnivores, we each found entrees and appetizers to appeal to all. The food was delicious, well presented and prepared. The service was attentive without being overbearing. One of our group had celebrated a birthday the previous day and the hostess, overhearing our birthday greetings to her, presented her with a special birthday dessert which was beautifully plated. I highly recommend Etcetera Etcetera and will be dining there again!

We were looking for a nice place for an early dinner after a Sat. matinee. Although we qualify as tourists, we try to avoid crowded touristy places and do lots of on-line restaurant research when we go to NYC. Have been to Vice Versa (same owners) and enjoyed it so we called at the last minute and got a 5:00 rez upstairs at EE. Since it was early, it was quiet and almost soothing after the hubbub of Times Square. Wonderful food and service. My husband and I shared a kale and apple salad with gorgonzola with just the lightest of vinaigrette dressings. Delicious flavor and texture. All 3 of us had fish entrees which included roasted grouper with fingerling potatoes, artichokes and onions and artic char on a sort of warm Mediterranean couscous salad. Happy diners all around!! Even splurged on desserts - berry tart on the most delicate cream-filled tart shell I've ever tasted (don't want to think about how much butter was involved) and a peach strudel that was also a worthy indulgence. There is a complimentary plate of Italian cookies and truffles included if you're too full for dessert. Certainly an Italian slant to the menu but it doesn't mean you have to order a bowl of pasta. I thought it was reasonably priced for NY and they do offer a 3 course prix-fixe offering for $38 which seemed like a good value. Very welcoming and accommodating service--no big city arrogance! By the time we left things were starting to get a lot more crowded and noisy but certainly not objectionable from our standpoint. Downstairs dining area is smaller and I could see noise being a factor there. Well worth the short walk from the theater area.

We reserved an upstairs table, as Zagat's said it was quieter. They took the rez, but informed us that night that upstairs seating wasn't open. We could barely hear our dinner conversation, & my risotto primavera was hardly interesting enough to warrant my full attention. Gnocchi was a creamy garlic mess. Never again..

EE's Italian themed menu is fresh and delicious! I recommend the following dishes assuming the menu hasn't changed - carrot ginger soup, spring pea soup, sesame crusted salmon (amazing), short ribs, milanese pork, spaghetti bolognese (gluten free) and risotto of the day. The service is wonderful and attentive! There is a very nice gay vibe at this chic establishment!! Ambience is warm and cozy!
