“Would still go again”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2014

Probably not their best day, managed to spill a tray of drinks over our table, got the bill totally wrong but we would still go again. The food was great and the atmosphere nice and relaxed. The upstairs garden is a great place to chill out after walking the hot streets of New York.

“Happy Hour in the Village”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014

What's better than a choice of 6 special drinks from the happy hour menu on a hot early evening at Bobo's in the Village? We were thirsty and a teensy bit hungry and all the street level bars were jam-packed and super noisy. A sign directed us to Bobo's upstairs garden room. What a lovely, breezy sanctuary. It's as if you are sitting in a room as there are stone walls all around. You can see the trees and other greenery by looking up. The ceiling is open but with pieces of fabric protecting you from the sun. It's not easy to find this kind of space and quiet anywhere in NY. We arrived around 5 pm and the place filled up fairly soon after that. Very nice bathrooms too.

The drinks were $6 (not bad for NY) from 5:00 to 7:00. Special bar food menu fine but not as good a bargain. We selected a cheese plate and a small bowl of olives both of which we're delish. Can't report on dinner as we did not stay for that.

“Casual French”

Bobo's upstairs garden is gorgeous. Great for a spring night outside. The duck came in a large portion and was delicious! Service was very friendly and quick. Highly recommended.

“Mother's Day Brunch at Bobo's”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2014

I had a wonderful brunch at this restaurant. The food was great, the server was attentive, and the decor was charming and pleasant. However, on the way out, we decided to use the restroom. Since the one upstairs was busy, the server encouraged us to use the restrooms on the main floor. Both of the restrooms had a very unpleasant odor, as if they hadn't been cleaned for a few days...sad that such a fine restaurant did not see that their restrooms were fresh and clean, and sanitized that morning, and throughout the day.

“Great spot for a special evening”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014

My mum and I had our final vacation meal here after spending four days in NYC together. It was a gorgeous evening so we sat outside. The food was absolutely perfect. My mum had the Octopus and a salad and I had the daily special - pork cheeks. The sever was helpful and knowledgeable and the atmosphere lovely. I'd highly recommend.
