“Killer Guacamole”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

The shrimp guacamole is one of the best guacamoles that I have ever had. Very good stuff. My wife had some type of chicken dish which was ok. I had a lobster dish that I loved. The menu is 90% seafood. I saw a couple of ceviche dishes that looked good, but we did not order any. The decor is nice; at least downstairs. Nice subdued lighting; cool tree placed in the middle of the restaurant.

“Consistent Favorite”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

Discovered Rayuela by accident. What a happy accident it was. I have been returning on each visit to NYC for the past 4 years. The ceviche selection is always wonderful. Really innovative food with a tropical flair, always expertly prepared. The Sunday brunch is so delicious, so unusual and so reasonable served in this very stylish restaurant. Great service, friendly and professional. Not in the guide books but certainly one of the gems of lower Manhattan dining.

“Outstanding food, service and ambience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

We went to Rayuela on an unusually cold evening on 5/25/2013. We were greeted by our waiter Carlos who is from Peru. He was gracious, friendly and helpful. We ordered shrimp and crab guacamole, baked cod, scallops, rib-eye steak (for our daughter) and sides of a plantain, kale, brussel-sprouts and celery root pure. Every mouthful of every dish was a joy. Our taste-buds were totally tantalized by all the dishes. We were blown away by everything that passed our lips.
The decor was spectacular and the ambience, food and atmosphere totally removed us from the dreary weather outside. Rayuela is a definite must.
