Great find on the UWS, near Hotel Beacon and the Lucerne. Its tiny, but the food and atmosphere are great and fabulous value. All in all, for Thai food, you won't do much better.

Small establishment on the west side. The food is excellent, the price for being in the city is great. Go early to get a seat.

We ate here last night after a quick UWS restaurant search. While the restaurant was fairly busy, we were seated right away with no reservation. I had the cashew & shrimp dish and my boyfriend had pad see ew with chicken. Both were about the same as any other Thai restaurant we've been to in the city. My shrimp could have been slightly fresher, and a couple hadn't been fully de-veined. We would come back for another inexpensive meal, but we won't be eagerly awaiting our return trip and we probably wouldn't be willing to wait more than a few minutes.

We visited the Land after a day of sightseeing in NYC. The food was excellent. Everything seemed freshly made rather than having canned sauces many other restaurants use. The restaurant itself has very tight seating. You are literally just inches from the next table. If you like to dine in quiet with space between tables, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for some really great Thai food and are okay with the tight quarters, you will not be disappointed.

As a group of five we were lucky to get a table in Land, as you can't book. As it was we squashed around a table for four by the doorway. The food made up for the slightly cramped conditions though- light, very tasty and fresh. Service was good and brisk but we were not rushed once we sat down. Even the desserts were delicious and we drank a decent white wine from the menu. The whole meal was extremely good value. Inside and outside was permanently full with a couple of people always waiting for a table and the delivery guys were kept very busy. I can understand why- if I lived nearby I would be a regular customer too!
