This restaurant proved to be the perfect pre-theater stop. It's located within a few blocks of all the major venues, and both the chefs and wait staff are expert at making sure orders arrive promptly. We never felt rushed, and had ample time to enjoy both the modernist Asian atmosphere and the cuisine. The sushi here is a cut above the norm, and the menu is creative, often incorporating fruit into the tasty rolls. My signature matsuri roll contained small slices of apple, and came decorated with sprinkles of gold leaf. Delicious! The pom-glazed tilapia entree is also recommended for its flavorful sauce. Be aware that in addition to the Mai restaurant, which can get plenty noisy in peak times, there is also a bar which serves the full menu in a more relaxed setting.
