I think the title sums it up. Perhaps the best dining experience I have had ever. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. The best part however was the staff. Knowledgable. Approachable and not the least bit pretentious. Each course and each wine was explained and all my questioned answered. Perfection!

The food is incredible - some of the dishes are the best we've eaten, with execution and presentation perfect.

You sit at the bar unless you're a group of four or more, which is fun because you can watch the kitchen work but not very intimate or private as you're perched on high stools in a well-lit kitchen zone.

Favourite dishes included: the razor clam dish, the sawarazushi (mackerel), venison and sunchoke, and the broccoli pasta. The only let-down was the beverage pairing: they gave us cocktails, beers and sakes, which were interesting matches for the dishes but not all great drinks. A red would have suited the beef better, for example.

Would definitely recommend going here for a long, delicious and innovative tasting menu.

OK, the music is definitely more rock, an energy that's echoed in the kitchen if you pay close attention. But the restaurant embodies a jazzy feel with its warmth, spirited staff, and custom artwork. The food is phenomenal. Sumptuous truly describes the smooth, silky dishes from the sunchoke puree served with venison tartare (perfect earthy pairing) to the BEST MASHED POTATOES you will ever have. Perhaps only so because of the caviar and champagne served with them, but only perhaps.

The servers were fun, social, and interactive. As a solo diner, this was a god send. The central kitchen is exposed, so you can chat freely with the chefs as you watch them prepare your little miracles of food. This was followed by a tour and short lesson on the restaurant by the manager.

Overall, GO!

Amazing food, great atmosphere. We logged in prior to our trip ( reservation system is a bit complex) but found nothing available. I checked the day before our arrival and an early reservation became available. If you want a giant meal( try keens) this is not the place. If you want an exquisite food experience with staff that are extremely knowledgable yet still upbeat, fun and charming. This is the place. Go ahead and do the full show pairing.. If you are going to spend that kind of money whats another 50 bucks..
