“Nice capuccino! Bakery so-so”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

Have been searching for decent coffee around Grand Hyatt for days....The Amercians (who probably drink coffee as much as the Europeans) have a knack of making coffee taste like tea and tea taste like flavoured water...Tried Joe's and Zarro's in Grand Central,,,,same weak coffee,,,,threw away after a few mouthfuls....

Financier's coffee is also diluted but better than Joes and Zarros but its cappucino is good...by European standards. Its bakery is sub-standard...looks pretty but soggy and soft croissants, not delicate macarons etc,,,It should strive to improve its delicatessen standard...rather than just relying on its prime location and the working crowd who need a bite to go..I came here more than 10 times during my stay in NY and tried most of all the delicatessen they had.

But cappucino probably as good as you can get in New York...

“Open weekends”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

Not all restaurants are open week ends in the Financial district as they mostly cater to the thousands of people working tin the area during the week.
The Financier was a quiet haven on a Saturday though, busy but not crowded as it is in the week.
The service is good and the food hearty and well prepared. The tomato soup is nice, the pastries are fresh, as are the quiches. Greens are also very crispy and fres.
Nice spot for a lunch ad a well prepared coffee.

“My breakfast stop always”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

I always pick up breakfast coffee and goodies at The Financier at Fulton and Nassau streets.
A few tables and singles counter, but great place to sip coffee and watch people on Fulton st. Love the coffee and tried the flan tart this time--hmmm! Usually, the macaroons and almond cookies are required take-home buys. The crew of young guys were friendly and offered fast service. Plus, their grab-and-go food (salads and fruit) are delicious. Open daily-Thanks, guys!

“Opera is recommended”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

After my shopping at Century 21 and TJ Maxx, I took a coffee break at the Financier of Fulton location, the corner of Fulton and Nassau.
There was a counter for eat-in in the window side of a slim shop.
Not comfortable to stay due to narrow counter table and limited space.
However, the shop on Fulton opens 5:30 A. M. in the morning of weekdays.
This is the earliest opening hour among of all Financier locations.
I had iced caffe latte and a Flan, baked custard tart.
Heavy, and was hardening than that my imagination.
Much quantity to all eat alone.
Judging from the result that I ate several kinds of cakes of this patisserie, my recommendation is a opera or fraise.
I took walk to the City Hall for digestion.
