The food was fantastic. Everything that we tried was so good I couldn't even pick my favorite if I had too. However, the service wasn't so awesome. We sat in the bar area and by the time anyone even came by they told us 'We have a private dinner, so we will need your table by 8).' Not once, but two different servers said it, two separate times. Then the same two servers tried to take our drink orders separately. Communication is key. The party they said was coming at started taking over our table by 7. One guy from their group even had the nerve to set his plates on our table. It just made us feel uncomfortable the whole time. But the food really was great!!

Unlike many trendy crowded restaurants, this one delivers on all fronts -- gracious service, divine inventive and beautifully presented food -- all combine to make a perfect buzzing night out. The team deserve praise for maintaining a stellar level of service and cuisine. Worth the wait!

Went to this restaurant with work associates. We had an 8pm reservation but called to notify them that we'd be late. Upon arrival we were ushered up to the bar where there is a DJ playing great music and the bartenders were mixing up specialty cocktails. We did wait an hour before another table was ready, but we were there to have a good time so we didn't mind the wait. When we finally sat for dinner, the server did have a bit of an attitude, but this is NYC! She wanted us to order all of our food at one time, as suggested by the kitchen, but we informed her that we wouldn't be doing that...and then her attitude adjusted. You have to be assertive in this city.
We ordered the French onion soup dumplings, the meatballs, the beef carpaccio, and red snapper tacos. They serve things one or two at a time so your table isn't filled with too many dishes and you have time to fully enjoy each offering. The food was delicious! We finished the night with dessert: chocolate tasting and the milkshake shots - amazing!
I highly recommend this restaurant to those visiting the NYC area...but like all things, be prepared to wait a bit and don't take yourself too seriously to enjoy the atmosphere!

Went to Stanton for a friends birthday. Really amazing food and great wine. Value was good too, much better than I thought. Service is so-so, it's just very busy. Main drawback was just the fact it's very crowded and noisy even early on a weekend.

Don't bother making a reservation or trying to get a table. Running 1.5 to 2 hours behind on reservations yet if you don't check in in time they cancel you. We arrived in plenty of time, checked in and were shuttled up to the bar like everyone. Couldn't get into the bar. Hoards of people everywhere, standing in the stairwell, blocking the door, shoulder to shoulder wait for an hour and a half? No thank you! Complete chaos and all the patrons agreed it was beyond ridiculous. The host was clearly inexperienced. What do they care? They clearly have enough business. I won't be giving them mine.
