“great little corner restaurant”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

Typical west village understated bistro style - great food in laid back atmosphere. We ate at the small bar because it was busy - portion sizes are european but really clean, simple flavors. 6-7 dishes for apps and entrees - great mixture. Highly recommend - service good but not over bearing - good for a quiet dinner.

“Accolades Deserved”
Reviewed March 17, 2014 via mobile

Sought out a superb dining experience for our final night in NYC and to celebrate my wife's running of the NYC Half Marathon. After not calling prior to when they set reservations we decided to cab it and see if we could grab a table. We had a back up a block away just in case. We entered and this neighborhood culinary gem oozed character from the outside and in. We were warmly greeted by the maître de and I spotted a nice table for 2 I was hoping wasn't reserved. I had confidence that it was ours so I removed my coat. I wasn't disappointed. He kindly offered us the table. We were stoked. We wanted to eat here due to the accolades we have read about and the high rank here on TA. Needless to say its nice when a place can meet the ridiculous expectations presented. Little Owl nailed it. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgable and attentive. The food was divine. The meatball sliders are well...ridiculously good, onion soup outstanding, the pork chop with butter beans perfectly cooked and succulent and finished with a hot Bartlett pear crisp with a cappucino. An amazing meal by a staff who genuinely loves it's diners and the food that is made. Can not wait to come back and try lunch. Keep up the awesome work Little Owl. Thank you.

“top notch”
Reviewed March 14, 2014

My wife had the best steak ever. The clam starter must have been some sort of miss, undercooked as they were. The rest of our group was very happy with their lamb and chicken entres, as was I. Service was good. Very nice atmosphere.
