My boyfriend and I stayed here for valentines day weekend, we really liked the staff, Mechilyn(I forgot how to spell her name)checked us in. She's really great. We booked with free breakfast and city view. The elevators to the rooms were broken, only one was working so staff and visitors had to cram in one. Our FIRST room was 2603, first impression of the room, it was small(expected in NYC)but very pretty. I absolutely loved the bathroom, the big flat screen tv and the pillows. The smell of the entire hotel and room was wonderful! The city view was only looking into the windows of apartment buildings next door. It didn't bother us though. We went out and came back about 11pm and only one elevator still working. Our key wouldn't let us up. Had to wait on staff to let us up. I got ready for my shower just to realize there's no knob to turn shower on!! I literally washed up at the sink! The next morning they didn't have another room for us yet so they gave us a key to another room to only take a shower in! It was so awkward, we showered in a freezing cold room that wouldn't heat up and then went back up to our room, by riding elevator to 25 and walking up to 26 because our key still wouldn't work in elevator. We were leaving for the day, staff told us they will have a bigger better room for us when we got back, and they would move our things to the new room. Breakfast wasn't great just average. Its not buffet style, its menu order. When we got back to hotel, we got our new room key, new room 1004. We loved this room, it was big and had a working shower. Sleeping was very uncomfortable because when you turn on heat, it blows directly onto the bed. We were sweating no matter how low we turned down heat. We kept getting up all night turning it off and on cuz when u turn it off the room got freezing cold really quick. Very uncomfortable stay, a huge inconvenience. I was not happy with our stay at all. And now I am sick with stuffy nose and sore throat from that stupid heat blowing on my face every night. But the staff, everyone was wonderful. And the waitress who served our breakfast with the black and greenish hair was such a sweetie also! No hard feelings but we will probably not come back here.
