Very good, especially for the price

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Feb 26, 2016via mobile
I stayed here February 23-26 while attending a course in the financial district. It worked out perfectly and the location was very convenient.

This hotel is newly built and only opened 3 weeks ago. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was on the small side but not unexpected in Manhattan. Large comfortable bed, desk for working at, nice bathroom, no complaints overall (although I couldn't get the thermostat to change- it was set a bit cooler than I would have liked but no big deal.) The free WiFi throughout the hotel was appreciated.

I used the hotel gym in the lower level a couple of times. It had treadmills, eliptical machines, bikes (2 of each) and weights. It was clean, new, and contained what I needed for a morning workout.

All in all, I had a positive experience and I would recommend it to others. It's a great price for that area, and I found the staff to be very helpful.

Thanks!

This is a excellent hotel for getting around all the attractions that New York has to offer, the restaurant has good food we only tried the breakfast in the morning. The staff are excellent, we ask on a few occasions for help and information and the could not have done enough for us from recommending airport transfers to local information 1st class service the rooms are clean and very well set out.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for valentines day weekend, we really liked the staff, Mechilyn(I forgot how to spell her name)checked us in. She's really great. We booked with free breakfast and city view. The elevators to the rooms were broken, only one was working so staff and visitors had to cram in one. Our FIRST room was 2603, first impression of the room, it was small(expected in NYC)but very pretty. I absolutely loved the bathroom, the big flat screen tv and the pillows. The smell of the entire hotel and room was wonderful! The city view was only looking into the windows of apartment buildings next door. It didn't bother us though. We went out and came back about 11pm and only one elevator still working. Our key wouldn't let us up. Had to wait on staff to let us up. I got ready for my shower just to realize there's no knob to turn shower on!! I literally washed up at the sink! The next morning they didn't have another room for us yet so they gave us a key to another room to only take a shower in! It was so awkward, we showered in a freezing cold room that wouldn't heat up and then went back up to our room, by riding elevator to 25 and walking up to 26 because our key still wouldn't work in elevator. We were leaving for the day, staff told us they will have a bigger better room for us when we got back, and they would move our things to the new room. Breakfast wasn't great just average. Its not buffet style, its menu order. When we got back to hotel, we got our new room key, new room 1004. We loved this room, it was big and had a working shower. Sleeping was very uncomfortable because when you turn on heat, it blows directly onto the bed. We were sweating no matter how low we turned down heat. We kept getting up all night turning it off and on cuz when u turn it off the room got freezing cold really quick. Very uncomfortable stay, a huge inconvenience. I was not happy with our stay at all. And now I am sick with stuffy nose and sore throat from that stupid heat blowing on my face every night. But the staff, everyone was wonderful. And the waitress who served our breakfast with the black and greenish hair was such a sweetie also! No hard feelings but we will probably not come back here.

We were there for the Asian New Year. We stayed at four points and our receptionist Ruth was so nice and helpful. We had a few laughs. We love our room and the price is reasonable. I would come back next time I'm in town. The place is clean😍We can basically walk to any place, it is in the heart of Manhattan. Time square was a few blocks away and the subway to China town is right around the corner. We would take the Subway, now that we know how to use it. Thanks Ruth for making our stay enjoyable.

Saturday 2/6-2/7, 2016. New! Extremely clean and comfortable. Well designed rooms. The neighborhood offers a wealth of excellent restaurants. Great hotel service and very professional staff. One thing however-- The hotel restaurant needs to better communicate with front desk: it took several attempts to redeem pre-paid breakfast coupon, and restaurant tried to charge $6.00 for coffee included with American Breakfast per the menu description. Restaurant management was disappointing and doesn't reflect outstanding hotel management and service. Highly recommend this hotel.

Lauren, the front desk manager, and everybody in her team are great. They go out of their way to help! 24 hours...
Very friendly staff.
On top of my list when I am in the area.
I have forgotten my toiletries, they brought it to my door. We were working late night, and the room was tight to fit in two chairs and computers, they moved us into a larger room without us asking. They knew the area and gave us great recommendations.
