So, a group of girlfriends and I had a college-reunion weekend in NYC in February. We were having so much fun catching up that we didn't want to waste time together sitting through a Broadway show, so we opted for a fun, memorable dinner experience instead. Toloache came up as a place to sate our craving for guacamole (with fruit, who knew?!)...that was the beginning of the end of our night. We spent the next 4-5 hours (I honestly lost track of how many minutes and margaritas we'd blown through) merrily eating and being attended to by very friendly wait-staff. The meal was fantastic--avocado fries, people, not to mention ceviche tasters, and some of the best Mexican I've ever had. We ended up shutting the restaurant down; the poor guys at to tell us at like 2-something in the morning to get going, but they did so by bringing us a complimentary platter of desserts. I am already planning my next visit--as you should be!!
