Stayed here with my husband and 87 year old father. The apartment is exactly as shown and is very comfortable. This is a basement apartment just four steps below street level where you find the main living area and one bedroom and bathroom. You then go downstairs to the lower level to the main bedroom and the shower room. The real bonus is that there is a large outside space, perfect for your morning coffee. The subway is just around the corner. The area is up and coming and I felt really safe and secure. Titi the building manager was so helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay again if visiting NYC.
Undoubtedly, the worst experience of my life and regretfully this was my first experience with trip advisor.
I rented this place for 3 nights. Which looks nothing like the pictures. The pictures are all photoshopped; there's only one small window Air conditioner which is broken and is in the living room.
Prior to making the mistake of reserving the spot. I had a little communication with trip advisor team and was unfortunately Misinformed about the safety of the area since I was new in NYC.
After driving from Niagara Falls with my family for 9 hours I reached the apartment.
While I was checking out the apartment and was so shocked by how misleading the pictures were.
My wife and elder son were trying to find parking in the block. While they were finding parking. They were harrased and threatened with life by 2 people even saying " DO YOU KNOW THIS BLOCK? WE FIGHT IN THIS BLOCK FOR PARKING". They started taking pictures of the car and threatened to stab with a screwdriver.
It was matter of family safety. I didnt wait for a second and we left NYC in the middle of the night and informed trip advisor about the incident.
Response by trip advisor was most shocking. The property representative said "NYC is a very vibrant place and people have their own way of communicating. Should not have checked out before checking in".
I was told by trip advisor to only communicate with the host about the refund. Since they cant help anymore about the situation. This was a very traumatizing experience for myself and my family and its a shame that safety was given no regard.
The host is the most unresponsive and trip advisor simply says "Talk to the host".
I wish no one ever goes through the torture we went through. Horrible experience
Had to celebrate daughter´s birthday and planned a special one. NY was selected an decided on this lovely apartment; better than staying in two bedroom hotel by far. Quite close to the subway, just minutes away from Central Park and Times Square. Handy to have supermarkets few blocks away.
The apartment quite comfy, We were a party of six including children, teenagers and grandparents. Plenty of room with a lovely back yard. Really felt like we were at home.
Really made a great experience visiting NY, and experience Manhattan at its best.

Stayed here on the occasion on my wife's 50th birthday with some fantastic friends. The apartment is as it says on the web site, it could hardly be more perfect so close to the metro to quickly take you anywhere in Manhattan, the staff in the local shops and cafes are friendly and very helpful, a good cup of coffee can be got at ant time. I would recommend this apartment highly, it is perfect for two or more couples or a larger family. We felt safe and welcomed at all times.

Close to shops and subway. Even though in Harlem, people were friendly and helpful. Grocery store ver close to location. Very nice back garden and kitchen was outstanding.
My family traveled to New York City in July to celebrate our son's high school graduation. With 6 people, it is sometimes difficult to find affordable accommodations. We would have had to book two hotel rooms in Manhattan and spend a fortune. Fortunately we discovered this great little apartment right outside of Central Park. With the two bedrooms and pull out futons in the living room, all six of us had comfortable beds to sleep on as well as a full kitchen so we could eat in whenever we wanted. The booking process was easy, as was the check in process. Titi met us at the apartment when we arrived and gave us all the information we needed. We were minutes from the subway station and just a few blocks from the north entrance to Central Park. It was convenient to grocery stores, Starbucks, and Dunkin Donuts. What more could you ask for? I would definitely recommend this to families traveling to New York. While the address is technically in Harlem, it was safe to walk the streets. We were out until midnight almost every night and never felt insecure about the subway or walking back to the apartment.

Apartment was perfect for a family or small group. Good sized bedrooms and plenty of space. Location was the main selling point. Short stroll to the subway, so you can be anywhere in Manhattan in less than half an hour. One minor negative. Don't use the car service if offered. Turned up 40 minutes late and we had to walk to find him. At $130 it's easier and more convenient to get a cab.
