Amazing little tea shop but VERY easy to walk right past! Worth the find - amazing selection of teas available with a wealth of knowledge. There are also tons of cool events and educational classes here like sunday sunday and tastings of rare teas. If you love teas, or are new to tea and want to know more, please do stop in this amazing jewel.

Tucked away from the boutique shops of SoHo/north of Chinatown and the noise of the city is an Asian gourmet tea shop called T Shop. It is located at the rear of a building.

Drink and appreciate tea in a non-pretentious atmosphere. Best if you come here with a guest or more to share the experience.

Teas here are curated and carefully selected by the owner from parts of China and Taiwan. This isn't a place for fruit infused tea (ie - Teavana, David's Tea, Argo).

Tea tasting service. This is done in a ceremonial fashion (I highly recommend this especially if you have not witnessed this ritual before). I have been here before for the "Brew at the Table (self-service)" option. I prefer the ritual of a tea ceremony.

This lovely little tea shop has just opened. We did the "Brew at the Table" option, where we wee offered several tea choices, chose the tea we wanted, and were instructed in the traditional way to make tea. Four of us sat around a table for the better part of an hour making multiple fresh infusions in a tiny pot and sipping tea from tiny cups. It was a lovely way to slow down, enjoy the tea, and be mindful of our experience. We all emerged refreshed.
