Hell's Kitchen, on Manhattan's west side finally has a great cafe. It's small but who cares when Murat and his baristas brew the perfect cup. I usually just use my stove-top espresso machine at home but I always take friends to West 47th St. between 10th and 11th avenues and I venture over by myself for the occasional treat and a chat with the owner Murat about Istanbul where I worked once upon a time.
The pastries are top notch (real scones among them) and there's Blue Marble ice cream as well. What else do you want or need?
