The Empire Hotel truly is a fun, boutique hotel in the heart of NYC. It is in close proximity to Lincoln Center, Central Park and many fun shops and restaurants. Plus the hotel is just a block away from a subway stop which makes the location even more convenient.

The hotel offered everything you'd need and the staff were very helpful. Nick checked me into the hotel, offered me a city map and guidance on moving about the city.

Very from our room is of broadway and we love it. The hotel is very elegant and the people are great.

Room Tip: Upgrade if you want a bathtub. Bathrooms are VERY small!!

This is a great location close to central Park which to be fair is why we chose it over others. we are a family with two teenage boys on our first trip to NYC from Scotland.

We only used it once but the roof top bar was good with great views. The lobby bar is pleasant, relaxing, and staff here and overall in the hotel are friendly enough.

We booked two rooms - a king suite and a double double cost pretty close to £3000 for 4 nights. Maybe we expected too much given the location but at this price I was surprised to find the double room so small and our suite was actually just a fairly generous sized king room. Perhaps we should have expected that given the city location.

Downside - Having to pay for coffee $3 a cup to use the coffee machine (free at any good hotel in the UK and also at the hotel we used in Washington) and wifi at $13 a day per device - pretty expensive if you need it for a family each with their own device (OK you can get wifi in the lobby and I wouldn't have minded so much a charge per room or reduction for multi devices / nights).

The rooms are also pretty tired and definitely in need of refurb - heaters in our room were rusty and only blew cold air .

Our bin wasn't emptied for 3 days, drinks glasses were left in the hallway for two days - yes I should have complained at the time but we wanted to make the most of our time seeing NYC not complaining about the basics.

The final straw was when the wall mounted TV fell on top of my husband when he went to move it!! Thankfully he wasn't hurt. The upside though is the engineering staff responded promptly - provided a new TV having clearly expertly repapered a section the wall and made an excellent job of fixing it up. High five to them!!

The Empire Hotel is very very well located right next to the lincoln centre, there is a subway very close by also.
The room was amazing, spacious, clean and a good view - no complaints whatsoever. Joe, the Manager made our stay extra special as we were celebrating for various reasons. The rooftop bar and lobby are excellent, we really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and decor was very stylish and elegant.
Jerry was also very helpful to us and we thoroughly enjoyed the level of service.
We have stayed at many hotels and follow trip advisor reviews, we were not disappointed with this hotel in the slightest. The room was exactly how it looks in website pictures.
Thank you Joe for an extremly pleasant stay, you certainly made our holiday memorable and we appreciate your hospitality. We will no doubt stay here again on our next visit to the US.

The Empire is bang in the middle of a host of NYC attractions - Lincoln Centre, Museum of Art & Design (fantastic) Time Warner building, Columbus Circle and of course the Park.
Rooms are typically small, but comfortable, and the downstairs lounge/bar is superb, especially later in the evening when the drink-after-work locals have headed home.
Concierge is a highlight - with special mention to Michael and Dennis, who were helpful throughout our stay.
There's a lovely local market right outside the front the door - 3 days (?) a week. And good laundries close by.
All in all, a great hotel in a great spot, and we'll be back again.

Room Tip: We paid extra for a larger room because we were staying 8 nights. For shorter stays we wouldn't...

Lovely place to have a drink and meet great people. Wine in "spectator-rated" and the dj was great! perfect place to have a drink before the shows across the street. Ask for Gabriel if you need suggestion about the cocktails and wine list. See you soon!
