“Peruvian gem”

I love this restaurant. It is a loud, fast paced environment but the food is literally to die for. The chicken is marinated like none i've ever had, the sangria is awesome and it is just an all around fun place to be. Also try the Pisco Sour!!

Went there with my family, loved the Pisco Sour, (very nice and frothy on top), authentic Peruvian food, good service, lots of food and choices.

“Dinner”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

We are from Peru and really love the food here. The only bad thing i can say is that it does get very loud when it is full. Acoustics are not that great, if you can go for lunch or early dinner it is best. The Pisco Sours are the best!

“Thinkin' Incan?”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

We Minnesotans are, of course, notoriously finicky about good Peruvian food (!), and so we were eager to give Pio Pio a shot. Good call. Among appetizers, the ceviche mixto and was far and away our favorite, followed by the chicken empanadas. As to the entrees, I'd stick to the bottom half of the menu; while the chicken platters are very tasty as to the chicken, the accompanying dishes (rice and beans, avocado salad, plantain, and salchipapa (french fries and sausages)) are OK but nothing particularly special. Good sangria, though -- very good sangria. Service was spotty -- our second (third?) round of drinks ordered before dinner didn't arrive until well after dinner. Portions are huge and the food isn't all that light, so you may experience some abdominal distress at departure. It's worth it.
