Had high expectations for this restaurant but sadly it didn't live up to that. The views are fantastic and it is definitely worthwhile to get there before the sun sets and then watch the city light up. We opted for the set price menu option. For what you pay, the meal was just ok. Though you are paying for the view, the restaurant is aiming for fine dining and it really doesn't hit the spot. Service was ok, but it became annoying as they seemed to want to rush us through our meal. Delaying tactic ensued and we won. I come from Australia where tips and gratuities are not the common thing. I realise it is part of America's culture, but to have it added to your bill when there is only 2 of you just seemed plain rude. The 20% tip was way over the top. The casual dining one floor down might be better value

With 8:00 pm tickets to the theater across the street and having spent the afternoon at the wine festival, we hoped to get a light supper at 6:00 pm. The $84 price fix menu is probably good for those with a fuller appetite, but there is no option for those desiring just a soup, salad or appetizer or dessert. Service was a little tardy even though we noted initially that we had we needed to leave In 2 hours. After an hour and since our order had not been taken, we decided to forgo dinner there. The view is excellent and worth the $100 for 4 drinks. The restaurant was about 2/3 empty, so it seems that others have had a less than optimal experience.
There are many better places in the area, so I will not return to the a View next time.

Thank William P

Nice romantic venue especially at night with Fabius views over Times Square.
We found the prices quite inflated but I guess you are paying extra for the view.
Worth a visit for a cocktail but plenty of other restaurants who do a more impressive dining experience

We should have known better, however it was a special occasion we were celebrating. Their prefix menu is ridiculous. A bottle of wine and dinner was over $300.
The meal was sub-par. The restaurant was empty, so others knew something we didn't because the hotel was packed.
The staff was wonderful! Mort, Brian and the rest were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Too bad the food couldn't measure up to the staff:(
