Description: Located within the bustling downtown Financial District, just a few short blocks from the site of the newly rebuilt World trade Center, Clinton Hall's rustic and cozy 4,000 square foot beer hall is set back slightly from the street at the corners of Rector & Washington. A series of glass doors open onto the courtyard, unifying the indoor and outdoor areas. Within, guests can saddle up to the 20 seat bar crafted from Carrara marble, surrounded by reclaimed brick and wood walls salvaged from the farms of Upstate New York and Pennsylvania or drink with friends at communal tables and benches, all dimly lit by handmade light fixtures and bare Edison bulbs. Clinton Hall offers a diverse selection of 20 draught beers and ciders on rotation, ranging from cask ales to keg-conditioned ales and lagers from the US, Belgium, Germany, Scandinavia and beyond. Thanks to an on-site flux capacitor that calibrates nitrogen and carbon dioxide, and adjusts compression of each individual beer to the Brew Masters specs, all suds are served at a perfectly calibrated 34 degrees, every time. Guests can enjoy this unique and eclectic craft ale adventure in the form of pints, half-pints or thirds-of-pints to vary their tasting experience. A full-bar service including seasonal wines-by-the-glass selections is also available. Full lunch, brunch and dinner menus compliment the ever-changing beverage selection, served by a warm, engaging and knowledgeable waitstaff. The gourmet spin on traditional beer hall cuisine features an extensive selection of bratwurst and sausages, served on homemade pretzel buns with creative homemade sides and rosemary-parmesan pommes frites, a signature shortrib burger and Prince Edward Island Mussels steamed in Wit Bier. Designed by Walsh Walsh Studio, an architecture and design firm founded in 2009 by Victoria Partridge Walsh in 2009, the venue is a joint venture between Merchants Hospitality, a full service hospitality company behind the brands SouthWest NY, Merchants NY, Merchants Cigar Bar, Neelys Barbecue Parlor, Merchants River House, Quality Burger, Pound and Pence Pub & Restaurant, Oaxaca Mexican Grill and most recently Black Hound, among many others, and The Lure Group, the masterminds behind Beekman Beer Garden, Governors Beach Club and Slate in NYC.

Great place, good food and fantastic service (Megan). Stopped in on a drizzly afternoon to watch a World Cup Soccer game. The place was crowded. A small group of people were kind enough to compress a bit so we could share their table. We expected to be there awhile so we stretch our meal by having a series of appetizers and drinks. All were very good and the service was consistent and timely. When we received our bill it was very reasonable.

Stopped by the bar after dinner on a Sunday night when staying at the Holiday Inn across the street.
The bartender, Eric, had great beer recommendations for us and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him.
We will return here when we visit the area again.

I saw this place on a TV show a while back and made a note of it for my next trip to NYC. Was thrilled to find it and ordered the cider and the fondue burger, both were tasty! All four of us really enjoyed our meals and range of drinks. The music was great too, some fantastic rock music but not too loud and intrusive. Would definitely go again and would recommend to anyone visiting nearby.

Great beer selection, nice to find a happy hour on a Saturday afternoon. $5 drafts, select wells and 1/2 off apps. We had wings, fries and a couple beers. Nice atmosphere sitting outside on a beautiful day.

I enjoyed the steak sandwich I had here. It was tender and plentiful with a delicious cheese sauce. The atmosphere is just fun, and if you're looking for quiet or romantic this is not the place for you. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food which consisted of burgers and fries, and the prices were average for the area. After I saw the grilled cheese donut sandwich delivered to another table, I wished I would have given it a try!
