Part of the fun of this show is not knowing what to expect, so I'm not going to say much other than..random, hysterical and it ranked as one of the top three favorite activities of the entire trip for my entire family (2 parents, 1 teenager, and 1 kid). Get your tickets right now...as close to the front as you can!

The show is excellent: lively, envolving, and funny.
The actors go to the public. In two instances they took hold of a person as part of the show. This makes every show unique.
The seats are tight and leg space is limited. If you are over 73 inches high you will seat with your legs spread and if you are larger than 44 in waist you will not fit in the chair.

This tired "performance art" piece was just terrible. The whole thing was tedious and drawn out and even the "spontaneous" humor was obviously staged. The level of humor was on par with a Nickelodeon show (spewing custard and breakfast cereal is "funny") and whatever edginess the show had was lost somewhere in the early 1990s.

Three guys with their heads painted blue bang out tunes on PVC pipes and beat the crap out of drumskins covered in wet paint. They throw marshmallows in each others' mouths (actually about the only talented thing they did). They make loud noises chewing cereal, they flash cue cards at the audience. They drag some poor girl up on stage to show them how to eat a twinkie (this "gag" went on for about 15 minutes and felt like pure torture). They put another audience member in a crash helmet and bag, and covered the bag in paint and threw him against a canvas to create "art". They walked around the crowd, to the guffaws of some, while I cringed in my seat, hoping I wouldn't be the next victim of the dreaded audience participation.

Spoiler alert: The big finale involves streamers and reams of toilet paper being pulled through the crowd in this dingy theater, while carnival music and recorded cheering are playing. Seriously, I paid 70 bucks for this???

Please learn from my poor judgement and do not go to this show. I cannot fathom why people liked this and I too was encouraged to see this show due to its long running and favorable reviews. It is a piece of crap that should be put out of its misery. It is not funny, it is not edgy, it is not talented. There must be literally thousands of better things to see or do in New York City.

If you want music you will find better alternatives with subway buskers. If you want edginess you will find more of it just walking down the street in the East Village. If you want humor, you can find stand ups anywhere in Manhattan. I walked out of the Astor Place Theater feeling seriously like I had just been robbed. Don't go. Just don't go.

what an awsome show! And I didn't want to go, actually. I though it was too expensive for a show, and if in NYC see a broadway show or something. But it was so cool, I really liked it! My friend pre booked for a cheaper price on lastminutetravel, and it was really worth it. Its a great show for all ages :-))

Two hours of stunning entertainment. My left brain can't process how they could've possibly conceived this production. Creativity, theatre, comedy, music, audience involvement all fused into a single package in a small and intimate theatre. The pancho section is highly recommended. I'm 50 and my daughter 15 and we both loved it!!
